Chapter 57 - Cornered

"Now about these rumors. I have heard that you have a dark mark." She said. You wanted to grab your arm, but you resisted and stayed silent. 

"I'm sorry (y/n), we are trying to stop the rumors, but nothing is working." Umbridge said. You sighed and nodded. 

"I can try harder, if you like." Umbridge said. You stood. 

"No, it's OK. Thank you Professor Umbridge." You said, leaving. Once outside, you saw Harry and Draco running at you, looking worried. 

"(y/n)! Are you OK?" Draco said hugging you. 

"Yeah, I'm fine." You said. Draco let you go and looked at you, as did Harry. 

"You were in Umbridge's office, are you sure your OK?" Harry asked. You nodded but then the door opened. 

"Hello Mr. Potter, Mr. Malfoy." Umbridge said. They were silent as she closed the door behind her. 

"I wanted to speak with you both. I"m sorry about the rumors on miss (l/n). We are trying to do the best to stop them." Umbridge said. You gave a nod. 

"Thats what she wanted to talk to me about." You said. They nodded and Draco took your hand, walking off with you, Harry behind you. Once you were away, you took out the vile from your pocket to show them. You put it away fast after you did.  

"Something is up with her." You said and told them what just happened with Snape and Umbridge. By the time you finished, you were in the common room, sitting on the couch. 

"We had about the same conversation with the other Professors. They are trying, but nothing is working." Harry said. You sighed. 

"Well, at least they are trying." You said. The others nodded. Some male students walked in and froze. You stood and they ran to the male dorm rooms. 

"I'm going for a walk. I need to clear my head." You said. Harry and Draco stood also. 

"We will come also." They said. You smiled, nodding. 

"OK." You said and the three of you started to walk. You were silent but Harry and Draco were talking. 

'How can I make them believe I'm good?' You thought. 

"(y/n)!" You heard. You stopped, as did Draco and Harry. It was some female seventh year Gryffindor's, three of them. They were waving for you to come over. You looked at Harry and Draco. 

"Lets go talk to them." Draco said, taking your hand. You all walked over.  

"Hey, we wanted to ask you something." One of the girls asked. You hoped it was something good. 

"Sure." You said. They opened a door to a classroom and walked in. You were nervous but Harry and Draco were with you, what could go wrong. You all walked in. 

"(y/n), whats wrong last name?" The girl asked. You heard the door close behind you but you didn't look. 

"(l/n)." You said. They looked mad. 

"No, your real last name." The other girl said. You looked confused for a bit. The girls then sighed, taking their wands out. 

"Incarcerous." One said and Harry and Draco fell to the ground, tied up and struggling. 

"Draco! Harry!" You yelled but one of the girls grabbed you, holding you while one walked over and punched you. You froze, afraid to say anything. 

"We will ask you again." She said. You then saw the third girl getting rady to hit Harry. Your eyes became wide. 

"Wait!" You yelled and they all stopped and looted at you. 

"Don't hurt them. Do what you want to me but not my friends." you said. The girls looked at each other. 

"I thought you said she was evil." The girl holding you said. The one about to hit Harry let him go and walked up to you. 

"She is! Look at her arm!" She said, lifting up your sleeve and removing you bandage. You wanted to cry as the others gasped. The one holding you let you go and you quickly covered your arm. 

"S-she is a death eater." The one that hit you said but you shook your head. 

"No she's not!" Draco yelled, finally getting free from the ropes and helped Harry from them. 

"She was forced to have that mark on her!" Harry yelled. The girls looked at each other and Draco and Harry walked up to you, hugging you. 

"She never wanted that thing on her! Whats worse is that everyone here is treating her like she is going to kill them." Draco said. You looked at the girls, who looked worried and a bit sorry. Your cheek was now hurting also. 

"Come on (y/n), lets get you to the infirmary." Harry said. You nodded, walking with them, but you couldn't hold it in anymore and you started to cry. 

"(y/n)." You heard both Harry and Draco say as they took your hands, walking with you to the infirmary.
