"Hello Draco." The man said. He had long white hair and looked a bit like Draco. He then looked at you and Harry.
"Ah, you must be Draco's friends, Harry Potter and (y/n) ri...(l/n)." Lucius said. You nodded, but you did hear him say something before saying your last name. He then looked at Draco.
"Here." He said, handing Draco a pouch. Draco took it rudely. Lucius nodded, before looking in his basket, tanking out one of his books.
"Second hand? Draco, we are the riches family in the wizarding world, why would you go for second hand?" Lucius asked. Draco gulped.
"I wanted to save some money." Draco said. You saw that he was getting nervous.
"Yeah, whats wrong with that?" You asked. Lucius looked at you, placing Draco's book back into his basket.
"Everything." He said before leaving. You watched him go before you looked at Draco. He looked at you and smiled.
"I'm OK." Draco said. You smiled back but then felt a hand on your back. You looked, seeing Harry. He placed a full set of books in your arms.
"Here. I will get my own." Harry said, grabbing his own set.
"Umm, OK." You said. Draco shrugged and got his own before you all paid and left.
The fallowing week you all found yourself on the train. You were laughing at a joke that Harry had told. You had just gotten some candy off the trolley but noticed that Draco didn't laugh, or eat any of the candy. You thought he might have been distracted by the black book he was reading.
"So, you think this year Crabby and Goyle will leave us alone?" You asked. Draco shrugged, not looking from the book.
"Who knows, hopefully." Draco said. You had noticed he had been acting weird lately. Ever since he got that book.
"Draco, you OK?" You asked. Draco nodded. You looked at Harry, who shrugged. The rest of the trip was just you and Harry talking, but you couldn't stop thinking of what was bugging Draco. Draco finally out the book away, only after the train stopped.
"I'm hoping nothing crazy will happen this year." You said. Harry nodded. You looked at Draco, but saw he was already in a carriage, heading to the castle. That hurt you.
"Why didn't he wait?" Harry asked. You shrugged, trying not to feel hurt. You climbed in, Harry after you.
"(y/n), where did Draco get that book?" Harry asked.
"I'm not sure, we could ask." You said as the cart moved. Harry nodded and once you were at the castle, you walked in with Harry and sat across from Draco, who was still looking at the book.
"Draco?" You asked. He looked at you.
"Where did you get that book?" Harry asked. Draco opened his mouth, but the sorting ceremony started and you all looked. You did see Draco put the book in his bag though. You sighed, hopping to ask him about it later.
