Chapter 8 - Christmas and the Mirror

You woke up and smiled, throwing your blanket off and ran down the stairs. It was now Christmas and you, Harry and Draco all decided to stay for Christmas, even if Draco's father was going to be mad. You was them and waved. 

"Morning (y/n)!" Harry said. 

"Marry Christmas." Draco said. You smiled and nodded.     

"Morning and Marry Christmas." You said. You sat down and saw four presents. two were from your mother and father, the other two were from Harry and Draco. You smiled. You saw that Harry had three gifts and Draco had two. Your mother and father had gotten you two new books on Hogwarts, Harry gave you some new quills that you could eat and Draco gave you a bracelet that was your favorite color.

"Aw. Thanks guys." You said, eating one on the quills. You had gotten them both something simple, a new Gringotts money pouch. They both had the Gryffindor lion on it that was magically enchanted to move on the pouch. Harry gave Draco a wand cleaning kit, as did Draco. They laughed at that. The last gift for Harry was a cloak. 

"Wow. That's pretty." You said. Harry nodded, looking at the note. 

"But it doesn't tell me who its from." He said. 

"Well, put it on." Draco said. Harry did and your mouth dropped. 

"H-Harry, where did your body go?" Draco said. Harry looked down. 

"My body's gone!" Harry said. You picked up the note. 

"I can't believe you got an Invisibility Cloak." You said. 

"Yeah, they are really rare also. and expensive. My father wouldn't even get me one." Draco said. You giggled at that. Harry took it off, folding it but then stopped suddenly.  

"I know what we can do." Harry said. You and Draco looked at him. 

"We can go to the library, into the forbidden part. I'm sure there will be books on Nicolas Flamel." Harry said. You looked at Draco. 

"While I like that idea, I think only one should go. If more then one go's its will be easier to get caught." You said. Draco nodded. 

"I agree with (y/n). Why don't you go and if you find anything you can tell us. You can go tonight and we will be waiting up to see what you found." Draco said. Harry nodded.

"OK, I will go tonight." Harry said. The rest of the day was filled with fun and games and that night, you waved as Harry left. 

"You think he will be OK?" You asked Draco. Draco nodded. 

"Yeah. He's a smart guy." Draco said. You smiled. 

"So. What did Daddy say when you told him you wouldn't be home for Christmas?" You asked. Draco looked worried. 

"Umm, well...I might not have told him..." Draco said. You were silent for a bit but then laughed. 

"Wow, I bet he will be pissed." You said. Draco nodded and the rest of the time, you both just talked about your home life. You learned that Draco's father was a prick. 

"Draco, you should come to my house over the summer. I bet you will have fun, we can invite Harry also!" You said. Draco smiled and nodded but soon, Harry ran in. 

"Guy's! You have to see this!" Harry said. You and Draco stood as Harry wrapped the cloak around you all. He lead you to an empty classroom that held a mirror. 

"Look, its my family!" Harry said. Draco walked up and gasped. 

"You see them?" Harry said. Draco shook his head. 

"No, I see my father. He's being nice fore once." Draco said. You walked up, looking in the mirror. You saw a man standing next to you. Your mouth dropped. 

"But I see my mother and father." Harry said. 

"And all I see is a man." You said but the man shook his head.

"What?" You said. He then started to spell something. ᖷɒƚʜɘɿ

"Father?" You said slowly. The man nodded. 

"The man I see is my father." You said. Harry and Draco looked at you but then Draco looked at Harry. 

"Harry, you think this mirror show's us our family members?" Draco asked. Harry shrugged. 

"I don't know." 

"Ah. I see you have all found the mirror of Mirror of Erised." You all heard and turned, seeing Dumbledore. He smiled and walked up. 

"Many who have found, and looked into the mirror, have lost their lives to it." He said, a smile on his face. 

"S-sorry Dumbledore." You said. He looked at you. 

"For what, miss (l/n)? You have done nothing wrong." He said. you looked at him. 

"But we are out of bed." You said. His smile grew. 

"As so am I, but you don't see anyone running up and handing out detentions now do you?" He asked. You laughed a bit and Dumbledore looked back at the mirror. 

"This mirror will show you what you want most in the world. Now that it has been found, I'm afraid it will be moved once more to its new home. I'm asking you all to not go looking for it." Dumbledore said. You all nodded and started to walk off but you stopped. 

"Dumbledore, what do you see?" You asked. Dumbledore turned, a smile on his face. 

"Me? Why, I see myself with a nice, warm pair of woollen socks." He said. You smiled, walking back with Draco and Harry but you saw it in Dumbledore's eyes. 

You saw that he wasn't telling the whole truth.
