New Boy [Daniel Seavey]

I didn't do any editing on this, I'm sorry. But thank you for getting to chapter fourteen of my really shitty Daniel Seavey story :)

"Ashlyn!" I hear a male voice yell from downstairs. Fuck that's a voice that I know, a voice that I grew up with, a voice that I would know from a random pay phone number.

I jump off my bed, pushing Daniel aside, "get dressed now." I throw on my clothes as fast as possible and run downstairs. 

"Dad?" I question.

My dad smiles as he looks at me, "hello princess." 

"Hi, Dad." 

"We're you busy?"

I look upstairs and see that Daniels walking down, and he's had the courtesy to fix his hair. I look back at Dad, "no we were just working on an online project."

Dad looks at Daniel, "are you, Phillip, that she speaks so highly of?" 

My heart winces as Daniel shakes his head no and smirks. "I'm Daniel Seavey, sir. Bailey's boyfriend." Daniel extends his right hand towards Dad and shakes his hand. 

"Dad, why are you here?" I ask changing the subject.

"I was in town for work and I thought I would come and say hi."

"And you couldn't knock?" I ask somewhat upset.

"I didn't think you had anyone over? Did you not see the car second car in the driveway?" I ask.

Dad face changes and looks flustered, "I'm sorry I'll leave." Dad says quietly. 

Shit. "No okay, don't leave. How about we all go to Retros. They still have your favorite on the menu." I smile.

Dad smiles and points to Daniel, "you up for it?"

Daniel smiles ear to ear, "definitely."

"Let me just go grab my stuff. Daniel why don't you come get your stuff too," I say turning around giving Daniel a quick glance before going up the stairs.

Once Daniel and I are back in my room I close the door quietly. I stand there and let out a deep breath. "Okay. You're going to go to dinner with me and my dad and act completely normal. Like nothing that just happened actually happened." I look up at Daniel and see that he has that smirk on his face. "What?" 

He chuckles, "I'm never going to act like that didn't happen, but I will act normal around your family and our friends and you know our partners, but Ashlyn, princess, I will never forget that that happened."

I groan, "Daniel James Seavey this is not the time to be all hot and annoying and aggravating."

Daniel smiles, "point me." Daniel grabs his phone off the floor and slips on his vans and walks out of my room closing the door. I walk over to my closet and grab a pair of checkered vans and slip them on. I throw my slightly messy hair into a ponytail and throw on a Holland High hoodie. 

I return back to Dad and Daniel, "ready to go?" 

Daniel nods as Dad says, "Daniel invited Bailey and Phillip. Thought it would be a nice group thing."

An amazing half hour later me, Dad, Bailey, Phillip, and Daniel are all sitting at a table in Retros, but I must admit it's not as bad as I thought it would go. Bailey's been talking to Daniel most of the time, they're talking about how their days went. Phillip and I got dragged into the great conversation with Dad. 

"So you guys met through Daniel?" Dad asks Phillip.

"Yes, sir. Daniel loves to play matchmaker with his friends, and at the time he was helping Bailey find a boyfriend for Ashlyn and he thought of me. Now here we are."
