"Daniel?" I whisper.

"Yes?" he asks. 

"Are you still up?" I ask.

"Yeah, I can't sleep," he admits.

"Me either," I admit rolling around to face him. 

"You know it's nice that your dad trusts us enough to sleep in the same bed together," he says with a smirk.

"He just trusts that you won't get me pregnant."

Daniel chuckles. "He shouldn't have that much trust in me."

My eyes go wide before I laugh with him, "you're a dipshit," I say before hitting him.

"And you like me."

"No, I don't," I reply with a smirk.

"Yes, you do."

"Never."

"Why not?" he asks.

"Because you're annoying and cute and funny. And you're easy to talk to. And when you text me I get the stupidest smile. And when you say my name my heart flips." Daniel smiles. "And you're stupid and cocky and you're one of my favorite people. One of my first thoughts in the morning and my last one at night and every thought in between." I sit up and put my head in my hands, "I hate that you have an effect on me. I hate that I can talk to you for hours and still have more things to say. I hate that I feel like I can tell you more than I can everyone." Daniel sits up too. "I hate that when I listen to music I picture us together. I fucking hate it and it's been like this since I've met you." I finish and take a deep breath. 

I feel the bed shift and I hear some steps and then it's all silent. Then before I know it my hands are being removed from my face and Daniels holding my hand, "come on," he whispers gesturing his head toward the door. 

"I'm not moving." 

"Yes, you are." 

"No Daniel, I'm not." 

"You sure?" he asks.

"Not moving." 

In one swift move, Daniel has me off the bed and over his shoulder. "Daniel James Seavey put me the fuck down."

"Nope." 

I hear him grab his car keys and quietly open the front door and then close it. He opens his car door places me in the shotgun seat and buckles my seatbelt. He runs around to his side and hops in the car. He starts the car and looks at me.

"Shut the fuck up and enjoy what I'm about to do because I've never done this for another girl."
