"So you guys just casually broke up on a Thursday?" Daniel asks from his bed.

"Well I mean Hannah was returning his sweater and it was obvious that he cheated and like it just seemed like a logical thing to do."

"Yes. Breaking up with him was definitely logical."

I glare at Daniel, "it's not like me and him were even doing anything to start with. And plus he lied to me from the beginning. Who does that?"

"Lies? Well Ashlyn, everyone has their lies."

I smile, "I don't have any lies."

"Okay maybe you don't, but you have secrets. Secrets by the way that your best friend can never know."

I throw my empty gatorade bottle at him, "no shit."

"How come we both had to get with cheaters?" he asks laying down on his bed.

I stand up and walk over to his bed and lay next to him, "how come we both became cheaters?" I ask.

"We didn't."

"But we did." Hey Ashlyn, maybe just stop bringing it up.

"We were always meant to do that."

"Is that your theory now?"

"Yes. I think the attraction between us was always there and it was just a matter of time before either of us acted on it." Daniel gives me a sideways look then smirks, "we've never done anything in my bed."

I laugh. "And we are definitely not starting today."

"We both just went through breakups and you don't wanna have rebound sex?"

I bolt right up. He just said both. Like me and him. "Wait, you and Bailey broke up?"

Daniel lets out a deep breath, "yeah."

I jump off Daniels bed and grab my phone off the floor. I immediately dial Baileys number. She answers, "Hey Ashlyn."

"Look okay I know you're mad at me for what I did last night, but you're my best friend. Why didn't you tell me that you and Daniel broke up."

"I don't know."

"Want me to come over?"

The line silent for a little bit but then she laughs, "yeah and bring ice cream."

"Okay." I hang up and look at Daniel. "To my house please."
