Daniel naturally wakes up at seven in the morning. How do I know? Because he woke me up.

"Do you want to go to school?" Daniel asks setting his phone down.

I sigh and roll over putting my head on his chest cuddling into him, "I kinda wanna go, but I really don't."

He chuckles, "we can go to breakfast at Retro's and then decide."

I smile, "perfect. Let's do that."

"You have an obsession with Retro's."

"You're correct."

"But why?"

"I grew up with it and when things change it's the one thing that doesn't change," I confess.

"You know I'm not going anywhere," Daniel says with a smirk.

"Everyone says that and then they leave," I murmur as I push myself off Daniel and the bed.

-

"Ashlyn."

"Yes, Daniel?"

"Why are you putting syrup on your hashbrowns?" Daniel asks.

"Um.. because I always do?" I reply more like a question.

"Does it even taste good?"

"It's sweet and salty, so of course it does."

Daniel chuckles, "you're weird."

"So are you."

"Not really."

"Yeah okay, Mr. Let Me Make A Sex Joke Every Seven Words."

Daniel shakes his head as I shove a mouthful of hashbrowns in my mouth. "Doesn't help that you're a tease."

I scoff. I am not a tease, well, most of the time I'm not. "I'm not."

Daniel laughs a loud laugh causing the people around us to stare. "Ashlyn, you are. You might not notice it, but you definitely are."

I roll my eyes and shake my head, "yeah okay whatever."

"Is Ashlyn Nicole Grey actually letting me win for once?" Daniel asks shocked.

"No, I'm simply giving up right now, but I'll definitely win later," I say smiling.

"Depending on what we do it could be a win for both of us."

I roll my eyes. "Do you ever not make a sex joke? Not to be mean or whatever, but they get annoying and I'm sick of hearing them. I'm not really ready to have sex and you seem to only talk about it," I ramble on to Daniel.

"I- I'm-"

"Don't even say you're sorry. I hear that too much, you know that you do it. You can tell that it bothers me, but you never stop."

"Because I was hoping that if I made enough jokes it wouldn't scare you anymore," Daniel says scratching the back of his neck.

"I mean, I don't know."

"You seemed like you we're ready before.."

"I know, and I guess I kinda am, maybe. But I haven't felt like it was the right time."

"That makes sense," Daniel says eating a piece of bacon.

"Anyhow, what are we doing after this?"

Daniel smiles a big smile that shows his tooth gap, "I'm taking you somewhere."

"Where?"

"I'm not telling you," Daniel says as he leaves a tip on the table.

"Why not?"

"Because it wouldn't be a surprise then, now would it?" Daniel asks throwing on his hoodie.

"I guess not."

-

Bowling. This boy took me to a bowling alley.

"Daniel."

"Yes," he replies with a smirk.

"Why bowling?"

"Because I want to see you lose."

I haven't been bowling in years, and even then I was never good at it. So Daniel winning against me wouldn't be all that hard, but was I going to admit that to him? Never. "You couldn't win against me even if you tried your hardest."

Daniel laughs, "we'll see about that."

hey hey. so basically I have this idea where I'm gonna prep my stories ahead a time and then just post them on some kind of normal basis, but I don't know yet. I'm currently writing them and then reviewing them and publishing them all in the same day or same few days and that takes a lot of time. I don't even know where I want the next chapter to go and tbh I don't even remember what month it is like I think it's December in the story. I- fuck I have no clue.
