Born a Rogue

chapter 4

   He just sits there, he starts playing with a tender shoot of grass. I think he's trying to let me get used to him, but I am so scared of him and the others I don't know what to do. So I just lay there watching him and them. Soon the other three wolves stop and lay down and nap. I know that I can't run because they'd just catch me again.
   He looks at me and says,"your not going to be hurt, I promise. Will you please change for me beautiful?"His voice startles me and I jump a little. He just chuckles. I lay there considering his request and after about an hour, I nod my head towards my house.
   He looks to where I want to go and says"ok." I get up slowly and so do the others and they follow me to my house. I walk in and the one stands in the doorway so no one can see inside and I change and put on clothes. Then the wolf moves away, after knowing I was dressed.
   Then he walks in and again just sits down. He doesn't talk, just sits there watching me. I can smell the others outside but they don't come in or come into view of the door. It's just him and I, in my little room. When finally he decides to break the silence."so your home is beautiful, and I'm sorry to intrude, but I couldn't help myself. You see I've been smelling you for months, but I could never find you and I came across your smell yesterday at the lake and followed your trail here, with the help of my beta."
   What's a beta I wonder, even Lola is at a loss. So I cock my head to the side in question to him, still to scared to talk. He chuckles at me and explains,"a beta is an Alpha's second in command. An Alpha is a pack leader, which myself and you, my beautiful little rogue is my mate."
   Still confused about it I finally ask, "What's a mate?" He closes his eyes for a moment and smiles. Before replying," your voice is like an Angels, I have been waiting to hear your voice, my sweet girl forever," He sighs. Then goes into explaining the mate thing. "A mate my darling is where two wolves such as us, are destined to be together and to love and protect each other till death. We find our destined mate after our first change, on your first change you'll be able to tell by two things, their scent will be intoxicating and unlike any other and second the second you touch you will feel Sparks erupt throughout your whole body. I want to so badly to show you but I don't want to scare you, so I won't, not till your ready.  
   For now I just want to get to know you, I want you to trust me and get to know me. I also promise you that you will never be indanger ever again. I may not know you yet, but my wolf and I already live you with all our heart. So please give us a chance." He waits hoping for a response.
   Lola and I sit in silence talking together discussing what to do. We both want to trust him for some reason,but we didn't want to leave our home. I look at him and say, " I don't want to leave my home. But we accept your offer, and thank you for not wanting to push us I ask, "Do they have to stay, because they scare me."
   He chuckles once again and walks out. I hear him talking to the big grey wolf(his beta) about him staying here and to purchase this land and for them to go home and to patrol the pack borders including this one.
