~ Friend Crush ~

"Okay, everyone, so far that's all that you need to know about this term's subject. If you have any questions feel free to consult them to me personally. Proper lecture will begin next meeting." Our professor exited the room and everyone got up and fixed their things.

"We're done for the day, finally!" Maddie said beside me.

Magkaklase kasi kami sa subject na 'to. Nakwento na rin niya ano nangyari nung na na late nga si Jho kanina. Buti nalang pinagsabihan lang siya ng prof nila at hindi naman masyado nagalit.

Maddie is very bubbly and hyper just like me. Sobrang dali niya din makausap at maka sundo, maybe because she's talkative like I am. Kaya kahit pangalawang beses ko palang siya nakakausap, magaan na agad ang loob ko sakanya.

"Uy ikaw ah, di ka nagsasabi, malapit na pala birthday mo?" Maddie lightly pushed me. 

"You stalked me 'no? How did you know?" 

Maddie laughed and rolled her eyes. "Jia told me. So ano na? Friday na yun ah what's your plan?" 

"Probably just the usual, I'll invite friends then dinner in the house? I'm not sure pa since I haven't asked my mom about it." Maddie nodded. "I'll text you guys soon to update the final plan nalang."

"Saan ka na pupunta, you have plans?" I asked Maddie who was about to leave the room.

She turned around to face me again. 

"My boyfriend will pick me up in Jia and I's condo. So uwi na muna ako doon siguro to freshen up." Maddie replied.

She suddenly smiled and stared at weirdly when she looked like she realized something.

"Bakit, do you want me to come with you to pick Jho up?" Bigla naman niyang tanong. "Natatakot ka 'no?"

Scenes from what happened awhile ago flashed through my mind.

When Jho exited my car, she didn't even bother to look at me. She fixed her things and immediately left. Good thing I remember to give her the food I ordered for her.

Hindi ko masabi kung ano ang reaksyon niya noong kinukuha niya sakin yung pagkain, she mostly looked confused though, mas lalo lang akong natakot. Kaya hindi ko na inintay na may sabihin pa siya mabilis na pinaandar ang kotse ko.

Kaya sa tanong ni Maddie kung natatakot ba ako?

"A little bit." Sagot ko. Tumingin naman si Maddie sakin na parang nagulat at natatawa. "Stop laughing, Mads. She was late because of me. She has every right to get mad."

Umiling naman si Maddie.

"Hindi yun. Sa umpisa lang naman ganyan si Jho and besides, hindi naman siya sobrang pinagalitan."

"Still, ikaw na mismo nag sabi. She got worried kasi baka bad impression na siya sa prof niyo." I insisted, not convince of what she said.

Maddie just smiled and brushed it off.

"Hayaan mo na. Bumawi ka nalang if you want. Here's her number." Maddie pulled out her phone and texted me Jhoana's number.

"Message her na. I think her last class ends in a few minutes."

I thanked her for Jhoana's number. Kaya ng umalis na si Maddie naisipan ko ng i-text si Jho.

What do I say? Should I sound formal? Do I ask her where she is? Should I just inform her where she can spot me?
