Love From The Start Chapter Eleven: It Started With Some Jazz.

Alec Pov

“So let me get this straight,” Sebastian said crossing his arms over his chest. We were all sitting on the couch binge watching the Harry Potter movies and chowing down on junk food. “Your solution to helping Magnus with his eating disorder is to go out to a club with him? What could that possibly solve?”

Jonathan shrugged, grabbing a handful of popcorn and shoving it in his mouth. “Maybe a date will loosen him up and get him talking.”

I threw my arms up toward him. “Thank you very much Jonathan. Yes, I think if I get closer to Magnus and make him comfortable about me, he will open up and talk to me on his own.”

Sebastian rolled his eyes at that before reaching into a large pizza box, pulling out a cheesy slice. “You can’t pussyfoot over things like this Alec. Eating disorders are serious and Magnus needs to go to a doctor or a rehab center or something.”

“Pushing him isn’t going to do anything to help. He needs to come to terms with it on his own and maybe it will be easier for him to do that with me.”

Jonathan nodded smiling at me and Sebastian just shook his head. “If you think this is what’s best then I won’t fight you on it. I just hope you know what you’re doing.”

“I do, so please drop it.”

Actually, I had no clue what I was doing. I had convinced myself that this was the right thing to do. That pushing Magnus on the subject would just cause him to push me away. He needs to be the one to admit that he has a problem and want to fix it. I can’t do that for him.

Still, it hurt just knowing that Magnus was hurting himself like this. What if he never came to terms with it? Would I be able to stand at his side and fake a smile forever? Eventually, I might have to take a stand and get him the help myself.

If that were to happen, he would resent me for sure.

No! It won't have to come down to that because our night together will surely help… it just has to.

“How about instead of focusing on Alec’s strange possible relationship, we talk about yours,” Jonathan said looking at his brother. “What’s going on with you and Camille?”

I nodded, also interested in this topic. “Yeah, it’s weird for you to bring someone around Jonathan and I. Yet you had her come to dinner the other night.”

Sebastian rolled his eyes. “She only came over to get to the bottom of what’s going on with Magnus. It’s not like I wanted her to meet you or anything.”

“See, I don’t think that’s true,” Jonathan said smirking mistiviously at him. “I love you Sebby but you don’t care about other people and their problems. In fact, you caring about Magnus’s situation at all is strange in itself. The only answer I can find for it is that you care about camille and don’t want her to be hurting. Her friend hurting himself is hurting her.”

Sebastian groaned, grabbing a couch cushion and shoving his face into it. “Can’t you two just drop this? It’s really not what you think.”

“I think you are falling for her,” Jonathan and I said together before looking at each other, laughing slightly.

Seb looked up from the pillow giving us a blank stare. “In case you both forgot, I am incapable of feeling love and affection. There is no way I have feelings for Camille because I don’t have the ability to feel anything. The most I like is the sex. That’s about it.”
