(Again, I am sorry for the delay in each chapter. I am at the library while typing this and when I'm not at the library I will be planning out the story at home. I will be able to post more on a steady time schedule in around a month. I think. Maybe less.)

"So, Y/N, where are you from?" Kion asked you as the two of you padded towards the mouth of the lions' den.

"Kenya. It's really really far from here. But to be honest I  don't miss it much, it sucks there." You lied easily, feeling a little guilty for your constant lying.

"That's a shame. I'm sure you'll like it here, though, Y/N! Although you might want to watch out for crocodiles and a few certain hyenas I'm sure Beshte warned you about, the Pridelands is a great place to live in."

"Yeah, I will. It seems lovely here." A thought of Mia scared and alone back home darkened the 'smile' on your face, and sadness tugged on the corners of your mouth.

Kion seemed to notice and stopped, "Hey, are you alright?"

You bit your lip and decided to be honest, you were getting sick of all the lying you were doing.

"I...I left my little sister back there, I'm worried about her. She'd love it here."

Not a lie in the slightest there. If your sister were here she'd probably be so overcome with excitement she wouldn't know how to watch her words.

Kion frowned, "I have an older sister, her name is Kiara, she's supposed to be Queen one day. I might not have left her behind in a far away place, but I know I will see her again. One day you can go back and find your sister, cause if you set your mind on it it will happen."

It wasn't exactly a motivation speech, but his words warmed your heart, lifting the burden a little. Even if you knew it wasn't all that easy, maybe you could get back to her. If you could get here maybe you could go back.

You cracked a small smile, "Thanks Kion." He smiled again and padded into the mouth of the cave, with you trailing behind.

In the cave, you saw lionesses basking in the cool of the cave to hide from the blazing afternoon sun. You noticed a few cubs varying in different ages, some younger than yourself and some older huddled in the corner of the cave.

.....Did that mean Simba cheated on Nala or did these lionesses get together with some hot lion hunks outside the Pridelands?

In the back of the cave, just as you remembered from the second scene in the first movie, you saw a rock elevated a few centimetres off the ground. It was long and flat, stretched out and grey. But the lions sleeping on top of it were what intrigued you most.

They looked just as the movies had portrayed, Simba, Nala and Kiara. Except this time they were in the flesh. You realised your mouth was parted as you gaped, and quickly shut it to avoid any embarrassment.

"Everyone is usually asleep this time of day, since it's so hot. I'm only awake because of guard duties." Kion whispered, cautiously stepping over each lounging lioness while you followed in his practise.

"They all look happy as if they've been chasing mice." You mused, a hint of humor in your voice as you recalled the smiles on kittens' faces as they dreamt of hunting and comparing it with the lions' expressions.

Kion tilted his head, then let out a quiet chuckle. "I suppose, but I think full-grown lions couldn't even find pleasure in hunting mice. That's more of a younger cub's thing."

"True."

You and Kion continued clambering over the slumbering lionesses until you reached the back of the cave, and Kion pawed his dad's ear. You felt a wave of anxiety and nervousness wash over you despite your best attempts not to let social anxiety creep into you. This was the literal king of lions whom you had grown up watching, and you were disturbing his sleep.
