Like, seriously, I don't know. My brain hurts. This is why I should never write a story without thinking.)

"Well, should we join my brother?" Kiara asked you. 

You gave her a some-what shy grin. "Might as well." 

You and Kiara walked over to the water and stepped in. The guard was splashing around. Fuli had decided it was a great idea to taunt Ono by splashing water at his wings, which he was giving her dirty looks at and shying away. Kiara and Kion had engaged in sibling banter. Bunga was using Beshte as a diving board. Which left just you, sitting there and trying to look like you were normal. That you were as fun and friendly as everyone else.

Yep.

(Author casually stepping in. I dunno about you, but when I'm new in school, and I've been new a lot, I'm always like this. Also, I still don't know what to write about. Ha. I just got another huge urge to draw something instead and further procrastinate, but this was due yesterday, so...Here I am, an hour later. Still, no idea what to write.

It's been like another hour. Screw everything I'll do it tomorrow. I promise. 

K, I'm back a day later. Still no motivation but I gotta at least write to 1000 words for you guys)

Ono looked like he was having enough of Fuli's assaults, so you decided to save him from that. You sloshed through the water over to Fuli and gave her a friendly smile, turning her attention on you. Since nobody else was paying any attention to you now, you felt much better and way less shy.

"Oh, um, hi! I know I already said this earlier, but I'm Y/N. It's nice to meet you!" You greeted her as politely as you could without sounding like an idiot.

Fuli stopped her harassment of Ono, to which he gave you a relieved expression, and grinned at you. "Hey Y/N! I'm Fuli. It's nice to see a new face from time to time."

You let out a breathy chuckle, "So... I uh- I saw a yellow blur earlier, with Janja and everything. Was-was that you, by any chance?"

You'd felt an urge to ask her that, you had been dazed from the confusion from earlier so you'd barely thought about it, but now that you'd had a chance to recall, you realized that shonen jump anime protagonists were the only ones able to move so fast.

Fuli flashed you a confident grin, puffing out her chest. "Yep, that was definitely me."

"Really?" You were actually impressed, "You were so fast! I had no idea it was physically possible for even cheetahs to run so fast!" 

Fuli seemed happy from your praise. Ono used Fuli's distraction to quickly fly up and sit in a tree, and he now looked very contented. 

"That's because I'm the fastest in the Pridelands, maybe even the world! It's also part of the reason I'm in the guard," Fuli bragged. You didn't mind her bragging since it was probably true, and she seemed so genuinely happy about it.

"Wow, I can see why." You gaped in awe, "I like running too, I'm just not really used to running as a-" You cut yourself off there, forgetting to cover up your slip-up.

Fuli cocked her head, "As a...?" She inquired.

You recovered from your mini heart attack, "Oh, sorry, my brain did a flop just there. I meant, I injured my paw yesterday. It should be fine soon. I'm not even half as fast as you at running either way, though." You added in a half-hearted chuckle.
