Heck, I'm sorry about the late update a g a i n. I procrastinate too much
Where could you make a home in the Pridelands?
You weren't sure you were welcome to sleep in the cave with all the other lions, and it wasn't exactly like there were hotels in the African savannah.
Maybe there were some more caves? If worst came to worse, you could just sleep in the grass, right?
Right, you guessed it was around three or four in the afternoon. You had about two till sundown, so you had better start moving.
You started walking north-east- from what you could assume from the sun's position in the sky- since you figured you may as well start looking somewhere you'd never been before.
And so, you began the first step to a long, long journey.
You weren't sure how long you'd been walking for, but now you could see the sky glowing orange as the sun made its way down and you still had no luck.
You'd spotted a few grazing animals here and there, but now they were retreating back to their dens for the night.
...Damn. Why did you have such a strong impulse to chase after them?
You felt a yawn in the back of your throat, so you gulped it down and kept the words 'keep walking' repeating in your mind even though your legs felt like they were about to drop off.
Then the ground started shaking so much it collapsed beneath you.
At first, you thought your legs had given out and you were collapsing.
Nope.
Your brain was merely failing to process the fact that you had walked on the wrong turf and a cave-in was happening.
Yay for you, good things always seemed to be happening!
You tried to look for a way to jump to safety, but unfortunately, you felt yourself falling and it was too late to do anything.
You hit solid ground and a sharp, agonizing pain as if knives were stabbing your paw shot up your leg.
You bit down hard on your lip to quiet a howl of pain, as you didn't quite have a lot of stamina.
It was probably only sprained, but it still hurt a lot.
Time passed. Night had finally fallen, and yet you were still in this stupid cave!
You couldn't get up, or even if you could since you were still new to this walking on four legs thing you would struggle way more than if a normal animal was in your situation.
You found yourself growing drowsy.
It was only natural after such a long, strange day and with your sprained paw. Besides, you had somewhere to sleep tonight and you needed some rest.
Maybe you could wake up and today's events would be all just a dream, though it was wishful thinking.
Maybe the next day you'd just wake up to Mia's sweet smiling face, and you'd go buy ice cream for her.
Maybe if you just went to sleep, you'd wake up and everything would be okay.
A yawn escaped your mouth, and you felt your eyes start to close as you drifted off into fairy-land.
You thought of Mia's smiling face greeting you as you woke up, and just the thought made you feel so peaceful you finally went to sleep with a smile on your face.
