The next few days passed really quickly. Whenever your friends had free-time from their duties and what-not they would come to visit you and swap stories. When you could, you enjoyed making lion-versions of classic fairytales written by the Brothers Grimm and watching the awed expressions on their faces. Kiara complained to you about how she really hated learning to speak Elephant and Kion, Fuli and Beshte were telling you about how 'Those stupid zebras always panic and run and always cause trouble for us whenever we try to help them!' (Fuli's words)

You could already feel your ear getting better. The wound was closing up now, but your ear still stung like mad and you couldn't hear out of it. Every time you tried you just heard a buzz.

It didn't feel too great. When you were alone, you wondered about how things were going at home. Did people miss you? You knew your friends would, but what about Mia and mom? How were they? Were they out of their minds with worry?

And... if this wasn't just some crazy dream you were having, if you woke up would your ear be attached? You'd probably be questioned by the police nonstop, and that would be a pain in the neck.

You lay in Rafiki's tree, staring at the horizon as the sun dipped into view, casting a shade of crimson red onto the Pridelands. It was breathtaking. The sunrises in Africa certainly were different from where you came from.

The past three days had given you time to settle down and just think. Think about the absurdities that had happened to you in what has it been...? A week? How can so much happen in a week?

Whatever this was, it was beyond you.

Rafiki, on the other hand, was doing what baboons do as usual. Sometimes you heard him muttering to himself, addressing Mufasa (long live the king) or singing absurd songs. Every now and then he would berate you with questions about your homeland since you seemed so strange to him. You hated making up lies, but you did so anyway.

You wondered how good of an actress you'd be by the time you woke up.

Out of the blue, Rafiki's upside-down face swung down, blocking your view of the sunrise, making you jump about ten meters into the air.

"Gah! Rafiki, can you not? It's like, six in the morning!" You complained.

"What is six? Ah, I'll leave it for later. I'm going to discharge you. You're free to walk around today and do as you please," Rafiki told you.

"Really?" You exclaimed in surprised happiness.

"Yeah, I'm getting bored of you. Just make sure you don't get into any trouble, go swimming, or do any running for a whole week."

You ignored his flat-out insult and grinned ear to ear.

"Woohoo! I'm free!" You immediately stood up, only for you to stumble. The room seemed to be spinning. You felt really off, too, like you couldn't stand properly.

"Oh, I forgot to mention, you have to be really careful with what you do until you get used to it. You're going to have a balance problem for quite some time."

"What?" You asked in shock, "This sucks!"

Rafiki laughed at your very out-of-lion wording, "It 'sucks' indeed! Alright, go have fun."

You tried to regain your composure and stumble your way out of the tree. You collapsed once you left Rafiki's line of sight onto the tree, leaning on it for support. The world kept spinning like crazy and you raised your paw to your ear instinctively.

You were so glad it was around 6 in the morning and literally no soul in the Pridelands was awake so nobody could see you stumble around. Unless the Lion Guard was doing their daily patrols. Hopefully not. You wondered where you could walk to and decided on the place you'd been staying for most of the week.
