(Here I am, leaving it yet again to the last minute to write. By the way, I haven't eaten meat in like five years so this is interesting to write to me. Also, since season 3 recently came out, I get the gist of what happens in it and since this story ain't canon at all, basically season 3 never happens. Also, I just wanted to ask, are the only vital episodes to watch of the Lion Guard are the season finales of 1 and 2 and season 3? I accidentally gave myself huge spoilers and now I really want to watch the end of season 2. If there are any others before, can someone tell me what they are so I can watch them?)
While, of course, you were sad about having to kill the rabbit, boy, was it delicious for raw meat and fluff. You had practically inhaled the rabbit, and Fuli had started chortling about how fast you could eat.
"Wow, seriously Y/N," she said between laughs, "How do you eat that fast? I could barely get a bite!"
You felt yourself blushing in embarrassment, straightening your back and swiping your jaws to get rid of...rabbit bits.
"I...uh..." You stammered.
"I'm the fastest in the Pridelands, and yet you managed to beat me in eating a rabbit, which is my favorite food," she continued laughing like a hyena, "Guess you have the biggest appetite in the Pridelands then."
Your ears grew warm.
"I get hungry easily?" You suggested. It was probably because you were more used to eating frequent meals every day. (Sometimes you'd only have two meals a day if you overslept and were late for school.) You'd read somewhere that most lions typically ate only once every few days. You had no idea how they did it. Not eating for three days? Preposterous in your eyes!
Fuli snorted, "Oh well. I understand; sort of. I eat once a day, but you're the first lion I've seen to eat every day."
You chuckled in embarrassment. This felt like if you were pigging out on junk food and then your brain would call you fat.
Fuli started bouncing on her toes all of a sudden. She seemed really annoyed and impatient like she'd suddenly forgotten about your love of food.
"Seriously?!" Fuli hissed under her breath, "Where is he?"
You looked at her in confusion, "What are you talking about?"
Fuli made an 'oh' face, though she still looked annoyed. "Right, I never told you. Ono likes to challenge me around this time every day to a race in this area. He's late. Hunting lessons weren't the only reason I dragged you out here this early," she said and puffed out her chest proudly, "I want you to see just how fast I am."
You felt amused. Her sudden switch from hysterical laughter to pretty much boastfulness was funny. You liked that about her.
"So you race him?" You asked, "I'm guessing you win every day."
Fuli smiled smugly, "Ya' got that right. I will admit Ono is pretty fast, but not as fast as me. He's very competitive when it comes to racing."
"I'm guessing I wouldn't win against either of you by a long shot," You said with a humored smile.
Fuli grinned, "More than likely. You were still pretty fast when you went at that rabbit, ya must've been pretty hungry."
Oh, this was lovely teasing you were getting.
You would've said something, but you heard a yell in the distance, "Oi!"
You and Fuli swiveled your heads to face the yell. You saw the outlines of a bird... Ono. And was that Kion? Fuli smiled.
"You're late, egg-head!"
You felt like you'd heard the name before- wait. ...No...It couldn't be.
