"Hello?" Inigo automatically replies while walking to the door.
There was no answer, but Inigo opens the door regardless.
"Hello, Inigo. I am Sulvana Crest, Master of Abjuration. I'm also in charge of room assignments. As you have been told, you have been assigned a room. If you follow me, I will show you to your first-year room. I will give you a few moments to collect your belongings." The mage wore a colour changing robe like Cassius, but the robe needn't move for it to change colour. The colours swirling compliment each other, red, pink, blue, purple. Her ashy blond hair cascades onto her shoulders, lack of points on her ears shows she's human, but her delicate facial features was not unlike an elf.
Inigo panics a little, 'You got distracted by cakes, little piggy, see now you aren't prepared!' He thinks to himself, packing the remaining cakes, 'What's that' he feels something next to the cakes in his bag. Then it clicks. 'The oils and cloth for my sword maintenance, I haven't done that yet. Dad would be angry. You are a terrible person.'
Inigo grabs his sword and attaches it to his belt, slings his bag over his back and decides to carry the folded clean clothes in his arms.
"After you, Master."
"You are well organised, if your studies are the same, I will expect good things from you."
"I hope I don't disappoint."
Sulvana leads Inigo to the first year bedrooms. 'This is it, I get my own room. It's official. I'm here!'
Master Crest goes up to one of the doors and turns to Inigo. "This is your room, if you have any issues, please let me know." The Master then twists the door handle, opens the door slightly, then closes it. She let's go of the handle and then waves her hand over the handle while muttering something under her breath. A black glyph glows.
"If you could please touch the door just above the handle?"
"On the glyph or next to it?" Inigo asks to be sure.
"On it please, can you see glyphs without having to focus?"
"Yes, I'm starting to think that's strange." 'You are strange.'
"It's unusual, it usually takes..."
"Years of practice, I know. Isn't that strange."
"No, you are talented, doesn't matter how you got there, years of training or natural gift, the result is still the same."
Inigo touches the glyph as he feels a slight ping back n his finger. "What was that?" Inigo asks, rubbing the sensation away.
"Now you are the only one to lock and unlock the door, except in case of emergency all locks will be disengaged. To lock and unlock the door simply touch the glyph.
Now, if you could just test that it works."
Inigo opens the door, closes it, then touches the door just above the handle, the white glyph glows, and the signature click of the lock can be heard. Inigo tries to open the door, and as expected, it is locked. Touching the door again, the white glyph glows, and the click is heard again. Inigo opens the door as the glow of the glyph fades.
"Excellent," The mage gestures for Inigo to enter first. "After you."
Inigo walks into his room and just smiles, it was the same set up as Shaya's. Bed, sink, running water, mirror, desk, chair and a cupboard for clothes. 'Unlike Shaya, I will actually use my cupboard.'
"On your bed, you will find your College Robes, it is compulsory to wear your robes to all meals on days you have classes.
The whole college assembles on Komar mornings, your year assembles on Haoce mornings. Even though you do not have classes on Haoce, it is compulsory to wear your robes to assembly and to breakfast.
Your time table is on your desk, while you are here you might as well take the time to familiarise the locations of your classrooms, a lot of students get lost in orientation week.
Orientation starts on 3rd of Akatams, if you want to join clubs or societies, orientation is the best time to do so." The mage pauses, allowing her to recollect anything she may have missed. Noticing Inigo's sword, she adds. "Sport is played on Haoce, and if you are good enough, you will be invited to join the school teams, and play in tournaments against other schools. If you excel as an athlete and in your studies, Zysska! might be the sport for you."
Inigo is bewildered with all of this information, at the same time loving every minute, yet its a bit overwhelming. "Thank you so much, Master Crest."
Master Crest smiles and satisfied her work is done, she heads to the door adding, "Welcome home."
Inigo has a room!
