Inigo eats lunch with his new friends, he waves Shaya over to come and sit with them, but the Dahalin chooses to sit at an empty table.
Riz doesn't show up for lunch, by the time the next class starts she appears, looking happy and clear of ink.
As Master Crest opens her door to the classroom to allow the first-years to pile in, Inigo saw his opportunity.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"Oh... Yes, thank you." Riz replies softly.
"If you need anything, just ask." Inigo smiles.
Riz smiles back shyly and walks into the Abjuration classroom.
The classroom was set up like History of Magic, each chair had a desk and upon each desk, three books. One of the books was a copy of Anatomy: Volume 1 - Azuralites, but the other two were blank workbooks personalised with each students name.
"Find your name and sit at that table, I will have order in my classroom, plus it is easier for me to learn your names." Master Crest bellows for all to hear
"Welcome to your first double class, I am Master Crest. The first part of this class will focus on the healing side of abjuration, the second, after the break, will focus on protection.
Before any spell can be cast in this class, you must know what you are doing.
Casting healing spells takes a lot of mana, and if you wish to pursuit healing during your time here, you will need to know every bit of information I can give you, if not more.
Each race of Kivastora is different, physically speaking, therefore do you think I could use the same spell I used on an Azuralite, on a human?" Master Crest asks.
"No." Someone said unconvincingly.
"That's right, but next time don't shout out in my classroom, if you wish to answer, please raise your hand.
Physically we are different and this required healers to not just know the anatomy of their own race but all races in Kivastora..."
While the Master was talking, Inigo catches a glimpse of Riz in the corner of his eye, she is sat to his right only one other student between them.
'She is so pretty.' Inigo thinks to himself.
"...Mr Balker?" The Master asks, snapping Inigo out of his mind.
"Yes," Inigo says and the classroom bursts into laughter.
"I asked where did healing magic originate from?"
"Healing came from both the Elves and Humans." Inigo recites from his History of Magic class.
"That's half-correct. Please keep the daydreaming to a minimum, as I said, the Daeku also learned healing magic from..."
'Phew, got away with that.' Inigo thinks to himself.
Throughout the class, Inigo's attention keeps wavering back and forth, from the teaching to Riz, without knowing he was becoming infatuated with her.
He decides to keep his distance during the break, joining in, once again, with his floormates forming a bond. Riz is all he is thinking about, 'Is this what my dad was talking about when he kept asking me if I had discovered girls yet?' Every time he thinks of her, he fills with a warm feeling.
He is distracted during the lesson, his mind can't concentrate on the class.
Only half of what is being taught sinks in, he is still taking notes, so he isn't too annoyed with himself for breaking concentration.
'I could always go back to my notes.'
Had to cut down this part!
If anyone asks I'll post the next one :)
Love ya'll
