Kole's POV

I wake up the next morning, in the uncomfortable bed. Matt's no longer in it. The sound of the TV occupies the room. I look towards it. I notice Matt now in the chair. The bloody dress shirt is no longer on, nor are the bloody jeans. He wears a grey t-shirt, faded jeans, a black beanie, and black and grey shoes. His hair isn't up like always, it lays lazily across his forehead. He stares at at the screen.

"This the game?" I ask.

He nods staring at the screen, although he didn't look very interested in it.

"Did you go home to change?" I ask.

He nods again. “I uh," He says bending over to grab something. “I went to the store and got you these." His voice is quiet and raspy, almost a whisper.

I take the warm fuzzy purple socks from his hand.

"You were shivering last night." His voice at the same volume.

"Thanks." I smile.

He nods and sighs when he looks at the TV again.

"How'd you sleep?" I ask.

"I didnt."

I frown. “Why not."

He nonchalantly shrugs. “Couldn't."

I look to my hands that still hold the socks. “You dont have to worry about me ya know." I tell him.

He looks down, and shakes his head. His voice stays quiet. “They want to put you in the nutt house."

I sigh.

This doesn't even surprise me.

He stands and takes the socks from me, he lifts the blankets and takes off both my socks, and put the new fuzzy ones on.

"They said that it was because they didn't want you to be alone." He finishes.

"Did you tell them I would be fine?"

He frowns at my feet.

"Matt?" I ask. “You told them, right?"

"I don't want you alone either." He mumbles.

I run my hands through my hair with frustration, this can't be happening.

"You shouldn't have been in the first place."

"I don't care Matthew!" I snap.

His voice, still calm and quite. “I've told you not to call me that."

"I always call you Matthew. You didn't care anymore."

"That was when I thought you were someone else."

He can't be giving up on me.

I frown. “We're supposed to stick together."

He sarcastically chuckles. “Then why were you trying to leave me last night."

I feel my lips part.

His face is once more blank. “Hurts doesn't it?"

I nod.

He clears his throat. “I told you I'm not going anywhere, I ment it. And at the moment I'm stuck here, but the glue might wear out."

Relief is the only thing I feel at this moment.

"You could move in with me." He finally says. “But if you would rather-"

"Matt, I want to."

He nods.
