Matt had kissed me before he left, he went to go play pool with Shawn and Carter. He had left a couple hours ago around eleven.
I go and grab the mail and toss it on the counter. I look at the few boxes of mine left over from not being unpacked. I finally come to one that is labeled, “books", in all a capital letters.
I try to open it but I fail, I grab the my keys off the coffee table, stabbing a hole into the box tape, dragging it down the clear stickiness. I open the flaps and go through the books and finally find The Wedding. I flop onto the couch and open the book. I had just gotten to the part where the narrator is telling that Anna, his oldest daughter was his favorite child, when there is a knock on the door.
I sigh as I sit down the book and go to the door.
I put my hand on the golden knob and turn.
I wouldn't know that my past, nightmares, and hatred were all behind this door, not until I opened it.
The door is flung open. I gasp as I cover my mouth, stumbling backwards.
I breath heavily, for the first time in years I was scared of a person. The same person who had scared me last. My father.
“Now (Y/n)." He says calmly taking a step forward.
I step backward.
“I know this is short notice."
“Get- Get out." I manage to say.
“Honey I just-"
“Get out!" I scream.
“(Y/n), I've came all this way-"
“Get out! Get out! Get out!" I say as I begin to historically cry.
“We've had some past issues but we can't fix them unless we are here together."
I pull my phone out of my pocket and dials number.
“Hello?" Matt's voice ask.
“Matt, I need you to come now-"
“Ha ha! Got you! Sorry I can't get to the phone right now, I'll get back to you!"
“No!" I scream into the phone.
“Now listen sweetheart-"
I try my hardest to block out his words while I cry and call the next person who I knew I could depend on, Tommy.
Tommy's POV
I run up to the house of the address of the house Kole gave me. The door was open, and I find Kole, corners by a man.
She cries so hard, and it only makes me want to cry myself. I charge at the man, knocking him to the ground.
“Stay the fuck away from her!" I yell.
He stands to his feet. “Don't tell me what to do with my daughter!" He spits.
I look to her.
That's her dad?
She only cries harder.
“You have no business to be around her! You never have before!"
“Move out of the fucking way, and give me my daughter." He says with a scowl on his face.
“I won't do shit!"
He comes after me.
I punch him in the gut, and he holds it. I punch him in the head, then kick between his legs. He falls to the ground, and punch him relatively. He manages to knock me down, but I eventually am on top of him. Swing after swing I punch, wether the blood comes or not, I punch.
