"Come on," Jamila said taking Malkia's hand and then she went around the dock in search for Naya. Being considerate was not natural to Jamila but growing up with her mother, she always knew how she wanted to act and how she would rather be seen. Her mother was the Queen B. Everyone knew to steer clear of her. So Jamila opted to have people come to her. But with Claire as her best friend (former best friend, but still) it was obvious that she preferred those kinds of people. But still, she held on to both girls. They'd had to call Naya's parents as well but all the other people on the boat did not seem to be in any need to inform anyone of their absence.
The perks of being wealthy, nobody cared where you were or who you were doing. The rule, of course, was to not embarrass your family.
They stepped inside the boat, to one of the rooms that didn't contain anything Malkia or Naya had to comment on. It was spacious and filled with girly expensive things but there were no ghastly artifacts. Once there she welcomed them to take turns taking a shower and then offered them clothes afterward.
"These don't seem like pajamas to me," Naya said looking at all the eveining gowns laid on the king size bed.
"Why would I give you pajamas, we're not about to go to sleep!" Jamila laughed like that was hilarious "We're going to the after party - well, my kind of after party anyway."
"Why are we getting even more dressed up then?" Malkia asked taking a lime green dress from the bed for inspection; it was made from very fine material. She was sure she'd never worn anything that had that kind of texture. It was sparkly and soft and rough. She kept patting it.
"I've always thrown parties like these, in the evening we all dress up and then we play it down like we're just coming from some other party."
"I don't get it - I thought you didn't know that we could go back until just now." Naya said.
"Oh, we were supposed to dock the ship in so we could still have a nice time out on the dock but we'll just have to enjoy ourselves on board for the night."
"So we were supposed to come for a sleep over in the first place?"
"I forgot to mention that but it's all good because then you guys get to play dress up with me." she beamed at them and then looked at each of them quizzically "Well, you're much shorter than me and your face is so innocent I don't think you should wear something to match that - you need to look like a total dame, a fame fatale...how about this." She said giving Naya a black dress and another see through black dress, she then turned to Malkia "You have such a fuller figure than mine so anything of mine is bound to be super tight - but I also want you to be hot cause I'm going to be pretty smoking myself - so this." Malkia was already holding the dress. So Jamila just pointed. And beamed.
It was a bright lime green mermaid dress by Giovve that perfectly matched Malkia's skin color and the chest was revealing enough that the dress didn't seem like a boring dinner dress you wore when you went out with your parents.
