Jamila was nothing like what Malkia had thought she was when Malkia saw her on Wednesday, her eyes were red like she'd been out partying and the alcohol was still in her system. She was far too chirpy for someone with an obvious hangover which made most of the people at school think she was shooting drugs. But all those weird rumors and how weird Jamila was acting didn't disturb Malkia. What creeped her out was Jamila hanging out with Claire.

Claire who Malkia instinctively did not like.

They were walking around and laughing together like they had always been the best of friends.

You might wonder why Claire was eager to forgive Jamila.

Claire like the rest of us just realized one unattainable boy was actually within her grasps and that made her give up Luke (because let's face it Luke was only second best, and that was because Simba and Jay were such sleaze balls she knew she couldn't tame them) so it didn't matter that Luke and Jamila dated - yes, she was aware of the break up - it didn't matter because she now had her eyes on Ryuu.

If he was finally dating, all she had to do was sabotage his relationship with Malkia and then she could mend his heart and then they could start planning their wedding. Things seemed quite simple in her head.

It's obvious why these two are besties.

That was why she picked up Jamila's phone when her friend reached out to her and that was why she was putting the past behind her, I mean Jamila finally got dumped for the first time. That was enough payback for Claire.

"Jamila," Malkia had called, she had headed to Jamila's class to pick her up so they could walk their usual route to lunch together but the older girl was walking arm in arm with Claire and those two minions were behind them. Malkia had to start remembering their names.

"Hey," Jamila said, she didn't want to be mean but something in her told her the reason that Luke had decided to let her go was standing right in front of her and looking at her like she was crazy "sup," she laughed even though she didn't think it was funny, she was acting the part. She had to pretend that she was off the wagon and see if Luke might try and save her, but deep down she knew she wasn't really pretending.

She acted like an adult yesterday but the end of their relationship extremely hurt her because they hadn't even made it past one week. This was Luke she'd always thought it would be different with him. But here she was feeling like she was no longer enough for him.

She was hoping that Malkia wasn't the reason because she really liked her, she was like the little sister she never had.

"I'm with Claire today," she said and giggled, Claire gave Malkia her usual glare and Malkia smiled at both of them then went on her way.
