Ryuu came to school the next day, it was a Tuesday. He wore his usual mean expression that told everyone they had better get out of his way and he wore his normal clothes which told them all just how fashionable and wealthy he was.
He had Jay and Simba behind him, they were walking around like they usually did but Ryuu had a purpose and he was waiting for the opportunity to fulfill it.
He had spent the entire Monday waiting for a message, something to tell him that he didn’t have to punish her or make her and him pay for what they had done to him on Moor but nothing of the sort took place. So now, his heart was hardened and he was ready to make all the people that had dared make a fool out of him pay.
He knew where the “love birds” were hiding, he had someone find out for him so he marched right into the library and went for the private area where they both had their heads bent over reading.
She raised her head first and he saw that her eyes were puffy and swollen and far too red to contain any of its usual light. He felt his heart pang but he fought the urge to try and make her feel better. He had to try really hard because he knew the least he could do was leave them alone but he just couldn’t let them be, not when he was hurting, not when he wanted it to be him sitting there and having a normal morning at school.
Luke didn’t look surprised to see him there but he wasn’t about to let him walk all the way to them, he closed his own books then closed Malkia’s before he stood up with all of them in his hands.
“Are you running?” Ryuu said loud enough for them to hear, he made his voice seem amused “you can run but you can’t hide,” he said using a line from an old earthling movie he had seen once.
“Not even funny,” Simba said taking a chair in a nearby desk; Jay leaned on the table in front of him.
Ryuu didn’t move any further, they had to go past him to leave so he waited for them to come closer to him before he said “Luke, you’re kicked out of the F4.”
“What?” Jay and Simba said at once “you can’t do that?!”
“Its fine, I never wanted to be a part of it anyway,” Luke said, he was speaking in his usual calm manner but it seemed to grate Ryuu more than it usually did.
“No, that’s not right you can’t just kick him out.” Simba said “that’s Luke!”
“And we made this group as equals so you need a vote to kick him out.” Jay stated.
“Are you guys siding with him? Then I’ll leave the group.” Ryuu said to them, his voice was so menacing both boys felt the need to look away from him.
“Fine,” Simba grated for both of them, they had to support him, he was the one who had been wronged anyway.
“And since you’re out, here,” Ryuu reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out a red scarf “you’re it!” there was a smile on his face but it was a taunting one.
“Ryuu,” Jay called but Simba held his hand to stop him from saying anything more.
Luke looked at Ryuu for the longest time and then he smiled, it was a cold smile and it made him look quite different but it looked fitting as well “Who could you possibly get to touch me? I’m not just anyone you know, so it doesn’t matter if you want to play these little games that make you feel powerful.” He face turned even more sinister before he said “You can’t change how I feel about her, and you especially can’t change how she feels about me.”
“Oh, I wasn’t tagging you,” Ryuu said hisso dark and cold, the smile his face could never touch them. His eyes found hers, he saw something die in her just then and he almost stopped, he almost took it all back but he couldn’t.
Luke smiled like him tagging Malkia didn’t change anything “It’s funny how you think the power the group has comes from only you, do you think anyone would dare to go against me?”
Ryuu smiled, it his smile was not sinister at all but it didn’t matter because everything about him was wrong just then “And do you think they could disobey me?”
“We’ll have to see,” Luke said, he turned around and took Malkia’s hand then walked with her to class.
He saw that people were already aware that she was tugged and he knew he had to be around her all the time to keep her safe so he took her to their class, the one where they spent time in and then they spent the entire school day in there.
Luke it had been different, that they had spent time getting to know each other better, that she would blush when he placed the entirety of his stare on her but all that she did was zone out and stare at the walls. She was like a zombie, she had been from the moment she had seen Ryuu. Sweetie, I know you don’t know this but you’re right, this is a very shitty start if we can even call it that.
The drama did happen when Luke and Malkia were leaving when they were accosted by a mob of students who held trash in their hands and were ready to throw it all at her. Luke gave them all chilling glares; there were about twenty or so of them.
Malkia was still looking a bit off, she didn’t even look at all the students that were around them, she did not even cringe at the thought of the of them throwing the dirt at her she deserved it.
One student, a tall gangly red head called Ronald Weasel was brave enough to start throwing before the rest of his friends did. He had a yogurt cup in his hand and he threw it straight at Luke rather than Malkia. He was one of those people that believed that he was just as good as the rest of them, he always felt like he was on the same level as the F4 and he was glad that he finally got the chance to humiliate one of them.
A hush fell all over the crowd as they waited for something to happen.
Luke didn’t even bother to look at the boy, he took out a handkerchief and wiped his face clean and then proceeded to make his way with Malkia. The others were all courageous now, they knew nothing would happen so they all started throwing what was in their hands, soda,s raw eggs, more yogard , some had salads and others tomatos. Luke and Malkia were drenched by the time they go outside to Luke’s bike.
“Come on,” Luke told her to get on but she just stood there staring at him.
“I’ll take the train,” she told him.
And he let her.
News of what had happened to the Clearwater heir travelled fast and it was too bad none of the students who attacked Luke and Malkia knew that though Luke refused to have a bunch of bodyguards follow him around, his grandfather Steven Clearwater kept an informant that told him all about his grandson. And it was his grandfather that made sure all of the twenty students were expelled from the school.
And the head master was threatened enough that he made sure all of the teachers knew not to let anyone touch a hair on young Clearwater.
Some people don’t even have to watch their own back, that kind of luxury is far beyond money and wealth, but it is borne from it.
It was that night when Ronald got home and his mother talked his ear off about upsetting such a rich old family that he truly understood that the F4 were truly on another level.
