Malkia felt her entire body shiver when he said that, she didn't want to address what it meant. She turned away from him and decided to ignore him for the entire night. But why was she still thinking about it on Monday morning?
Here's a guess, that stupidly pretty face?
"Bye dad," she said to her father as she got off his low glider.
"Have a nice day today." Her father said, like her mother he'd come to the belief that she was sure to make it in life now that she was best friends with Jamila Hussein. It wasn't a surprise to her that her mother followed and knew who Jamila was; she saw that picture that Jamila posted of them and she had decided to not only make it her screen saver but repost it as well.
"Ugh, baba!" she said calling him by their tribal tongues.
Her father laughed and drove off.
She wasn't ready to see the person who had emerged in front of her right then. She thought he looked familiar at first but then she completely lost it when she finally realised who it was.
"Ryuu?" she said trying to hold back her laugh and failing.
He was standing there in his maroon uniform, with the coat on and the tie and everything. His black hair was straight and falling all over his face to the point where he looked like he had bangs.
"Yes," he said smiling at her "How do I look now?"
"Not good," Malkia said finally controlling her laughter. Only to start laughing again "I don't know what's worse, the uniform, the hair or how creepy it is to see you without your perm."
Ryuu didn't let her reaction phase him "Do you forgive me now?"
"Oh!" she said pretending to remember their last conversation "not yet." She said making her way to class, everyone was looking at them but most of them were unable to recognize Ryuu without his signature perm and outlandish clothes.
"What must I do?" he asked walking with her.
Ryuu was used to having a way for him to walk through because crowds always parted when he walked so it was quite inevitable that he would bump into someone because no one knew it was him, so no one knew to avoid him. But in his mind, someone had bumped into him and usually this person would be in a lot of trouble - I mean he could just kick them out of the way or throw some mean words at them or they could get tagged if he was in an exceptionally nasty mood.
The guy, Ling, saw who it was that he had bumped into and simply froze in place waiting for his judgement. Ryuu liked it when they just stared in fear.
He was about to yell at the guy when Malkia touched his arm, they both felt a jolt at the contact so they both instinctively pulled their arms apart.
"Apologize," she whispered to him.
