This Monday morning was unlike any other Monday Malkia had had ever since she moved to Elite. Everyone was staring at her and it wasn't their usual stare, the one that told her they all thought she was poor and undeserving, no, the stares this morning were of people in awe, people full of fear and people who were looking for an opportunity to please.

She wondered what had gone into all their heads. She didn't respond to anyone who tried to catch her attention, especially the people she remembered throwing dirt at her like that Claire girl that Jamila always talked about.

"Hi Malkia," she'd said by the gates when they crossed each-others' paths. She kept on walking like she hadn't heard a thing.

There was another short cute girl called Naomi in her class that had tried to give her a present in a box but she refused it and didn't even bother to smile kindly as she muttered no thanks. They were all hypocrites. She didn't need them.

It was already lunch time when Malkia found out why they were all looking at her like that. The bell had just rang and Tom was finally free to talk.

"Do you see them all looking at me?"

"Yeah," Tom said busy typing a text on his phone.

"Do you know why?"

Tom raised his head and looked at her before he went back to his phone he scrolled for a couple of minutes and then sent her a pic before he said "That's why."

It was a screenshot of some red and white blog that had a picture of two people coming out of a building. The guy was in a red sweater and the girl next to him was in a black coat that was obviously the guy's because it looked too big on her.

It took a her minute to realize that she was the girl and Ryuu was the guy.

"What?" she exclaimed, wondering how this picture was taken and shared without her knowledge.

"You move on so fast," Tom deadpanned.

She shoved him not so playfully "I'm not dating him,"

"Everyone thinks you are,"

"I'm not,"

"Does he know that?"

She wanted to say sure but she knew that he might think they were a thing. She did let him kiss her a number of times.

Admit it Malkia, you did more than let him kiss you.

Tom sighed and retracted his screen until it disappeared into his wrist "You're pretty smart in class but you can be so clueless when it comes to real life stuff."
