''Taylor where the fuck are the hair straighteners,'' Jodie shouted as she couldn't find them anywhere in her room. She had the same problem every Sunday; since Taylor had used them throughout the week and never put them back.

''In the bathroom, I always put them there,'' the Blonde shouted back from her own room. That left Jodie to huff as she pulled her dressing gown tighter around her body so she could go and fetch the infamous hair straighteners.

Once she'd retrieved them for the counter in the bathroom, she made her way back to her room but was caught off guard when Taylor came round the corner. Shaking her head Taylor approached her, it was only when they were centimetres apart that Jodie noticed the can of hair spray and clips in her hands.

''I'm guessing you want my help like you always do?'' She asked, showing Jodie the items in her hands.

''Yes please,'' so just like every Sunday Jodie sat at her little dressing table staring into the mirror as Taylor sectioned off her hair and straight each part of her hair before setting it was a light covering of hair spray.

''I'm kinda jealous you know,'' Taylor spoke up while taking the various hair clips out of Jodie's hair.

''Of what?''

''You're family being so close. Like you all get along and have lunches every Sunday,'' Taylor let out a small sigh before she then added, ''the last time I even spoke to my dad was three years ago and even then it was because it was moms funeral.''

''That's not your fault and I'm sorry about your mom. The way you spoke about her you two were very close,'' Jodie sympathised with her. She didn't make Taylor leave the room as she grabbed the clothes she wanted to wear. Instead, she let her sit on her bed and talk, while she stood behind a partition and got changed.

''We were. She used to tell me all sorts of stories about my great grandad, about him being in the war. Every so often she'd show me his medals and point out why he got each one,'' Taylor seemed to be caught up in the memories of her mother that she continued to speak about her right up until the two said goodbye to each other at the door.

''Remeber don't play music too loud because you'll scare Blink,'' Jodie reminded Taylor about it every time, but she appeared never to listen, so Jodie found herself having to remind her every time. Taylor replied with the same mumble she always replied with, leading Jodie to shake her head once again; before saying a final goodbye and leaving for her car.

Her Parents house was only a five to ten-minute drive away and she didn't have to be there until about one. So she found herself with plenty of time, although the traffic appeared to used that spare time up within seconds. Sighing she tapped her fingers subconsciously on the steering wheel as she managed to get stuck behind a ridiculously long line of cars ahead of her. It wasn't long before her phone started to ring, meaning she had to take the call through the hands-free setting in the car.

''Hi mum,'' she greeted, after peeking at the caller ID that had flashed up on the screen in front of her.

''Where are you? Lunch is nearly ready and you know how your dad gets when someones late,'' her dad wasn't one for tolerating lateness, in fact, if you were let three times to the club without a valid excuse he'd either fire you or you'd get one more change, the latter rarely happened, however.

''I'm stuck in traffic, I think there may have been an accident or something, but I am moving, slowly,'' she responded, being met with an exasperated sigh on the other end, ''I should be there soon, I'm sorry,'' Jodie added.

''Ok I'll let your dad know. I'll see you soon then sweetheart,'' with a goodbye from Jodie her mum ended the call.
