It was just after seven when Marshall pulled up the front of Jodie's' and Taylors' house. Seeing the car parked in the driveway he instantly knew they had to be there. They only had the one car which they shared; Jodie had told him that it caused arguments sometimes, but neither of them could afford their own car. Just thinking about not affording the car brought back the memory that had happened in the car. He shook his head telling himself he was there to make it better, not worse and hoped Jodie would listen and understand too.
Taking a deep breath, he clicked open his seatbelt and reached over to the passenger seat to pick up the flowers that he had picked out from a little independent florist on his way over. He had no idea what kind of flowers Jodie even liked but he'd seen several vases scattered around the house including her room, so he picked from memorising the colours and shapes of the flowers he saw because he had no clue what type they were.
''Marshall,'' Taylor opened the door a surprising edge was noticeable in her voice.
''Erm, I... I don't know if Jodie wants to talk to me right now but I wanna...'' He stopped talking because the smirk creeping onto Taylors face puzzled him, ''wait, why are you looking at me like that?'' He questioned instead.
''Jodie ain't here, in fact, she's where you should be right now,'' Marshall's forehead creased and he rose his eyebrows, praying that Taylor would explain what she meant, ''look Jodie knows who Eminem is, she knows he a rapper, but she never really listened to the music and so I made her listen to some and well she understands why you were pissed,'' Taylor shrugged. Marshall's jaw dropped and the flowers nearly slipped from his grip, but he caught them before they tilted too far out of his hand.
''Wait so where is she then?''
''At your house, possibly in your bed,'' Taylor shrugged, moving to close the door, but she stopped herself just before she shut it, ''thank me later ok.'' Marshall was left stunned for a moment, it took a moment for his brain to comprehend what had just been said to him, but he did connect the dots he was back in the car and hightailing it back to his house.

Jodie shifted around on the bed a couple of times, trying to get comfortable, but also be in a position to see the clock so she knew what the time was. She sighed as she noticed the clock flashed at her, showing her that it was coming up to half-past seven. Butterflies seemed to settle in her stomach thinking about what if Marshall didn't come home? What if he stayed in the studio all night because she told him she didn't come back? Huffing she turned away from the clock so that she lay flat on her back on top of the duvet, her hair fanning out over the pillow as she took her glasses off and started twisting them around in her hands.
Jodie was so deep in her own thoughts that she didn't hear the front door close or the sound of heavy footsteps coming up the stairs. It was only when she heard the door begin to creak open that she realised she was no longer alone. Placing her glasses back on she sat up rapidly, her eyes immediately meeting his.
''I'd sexy walk over to you if I could,'' she gave a nervous giggle, breaking the silence that had come over them as they had been staring at each other from across the room.
''The views enough,'' Jodie gave a shy smile in response, she'd taken her top off and had been laying in just her bra and the shorts she usually wore to sleep in. The words Marshall had spoken brought a wave of calm over her because it meant he was no longer mad at her. Well, at least she hoped that's what it meant.
As he walked towards her, she noticed he was holding something behind his back. He'd seen her gaze filter towards the object and when he reached the bed held the bouquet out to her.
''I dunno, what kind you liked, but I wanted to apologise for assuming you knew everything there was to know about me you know cause I've just been used to people knowing my life story,'' he'd sat down on the edge of the bed; Jodie shuffled herself to perch next to him her hand wrapping around the flowers.
''I love them and you shouldn't be the one to apologise. I started this pointless fight because I just assumed, you'd never had to struggle as I did. Taylor helped me figure out how stupid I was being and...'' she didn't finish her sentence as Marshall leaned over to kiss her.
''How about we agree to never bring the topic up again and if I offer to buy you stuff, you just let me cause I love you,'' his hands rested on either side of her cheeks the position he'd put them in when he'd kissed her.
''If it means we no longer argue about it I'm good with that,'' she replied, pulling away from his grip slightly so she could move the flowers off of the bed and onto the nightstand.
When she turned back around, she felt Marshalls hands back on her face again, but this time instead of kissing her he gently pulled her glasses off.
''hmm, what do you think is happing here then,'' she commented as she watched with blurred vision, Marshall pulling off his jacket and shirt.
''Getting comfortable,'' he added, pushing her gently back into the bed so she was laying on her back again like she had been when she'd been waiting for him.
Marshall felt her shiver when he placed his cold hands on her exposed stomach and waist, ''I love you,'' he mumbled just before he bent down to capture her lips once more. Jodie replied with a groan as she felt his hands roam her body, one hand found its way to her back to unclip her bra and soon his mouth had moved down from her lips, trailing down her neck to find her breasts.
''Marsh...'' only half his name came out of her mouth because the bliss she was in was too much for her to speak coherently. Marshall just smirked to himself and continued to show Jodie how much she mattered and how much he loved her and that something so small as a dispute about money wasn't going to get between them again.
