''Jodie,'' Jodie hummed as she felt Marshall's hot breath by her ear. At first, she just pretended to ignore him, but when he started poking her, she couldn't ignore him any longer.

''Come on, I'm hungry,'' he whinned as she finally turned over to come face to face with him. Yawing, Jodie tried to figure out how she got herself in the position she was currently in; waking up next to Marshall with the duvet wrapped snuggly around her.

''Why didn't you just make breakfast then?'' She questioned sitting up, not moving the duvet with her as she appeared to be clothed in what she assumed was one of Marshalls T-shirts. Rubbing her eyes to get rid of the sleep she tried to recall what actually happened the night before, but for some reason, she came up blank.

''I wanted to cook with you,'' he mumbled. Jodie felt her heart flutter at how sweet he was being, the added sheepish look that fell across his face made her fall for him even more.

''Oh Marshall have I ever told you how adorable you are,'' she moved to pinch his cheek, but he swiped her hand away catching her wrist with his hand. This new grip he had of her allowed him to pull her closer to him.

''No and don't you ever call me adorable again,'' still holding her wrist he bent down to kiss her, ''now can we please go and make breakfast, Marshall hungry,'' he pouted.

''Fine, come on let's go, but I'm warning you I'm not that good a cook,'' she joked. Marshall just smirked and pulled on her arm yanking her out of the bed. She would have fallen flat on her face if she hadn't maintained her balance in time.

''Nah you'll do fine, I'll tell ya what to do,'' he didn't wait for an answer before pushing her towards the door. Turning round Jodie noticed that he was fully dressed and she, well wasn't.

''Can't I get dressed first?'' She pointed out picking at the t-shirt she wore, which reached just above her knees.

''I think you look great, plus we ain't eating anywhere else but the kitchen so no dress code. If you know what I mean,'' Jodie scoffed as he wiggled his eyebrows at her, ''oh come on, I was joking,'' he exclaimed as he watched her leave the room and make her way down the stairs; shaking her head all the way.

''I told you I'm not a great cook,'' Jodie mumbled as Marshall stared at the burnt bread on his plate.

''How can anybody fuck up toast Jo, seriously how?'' Jodie just shrugged as she chewed on her pancakes.

He'd in confidence put her in charge of making toast since that is what she had requested, while he busied himself making pancakes, which was something she'd never really had for breakfast. With full confidence in her being able to use the toaster he left her to watch the toast and somehow, he couldn't quite figure out how, but she'd managed to burn every single piece she'd picked out.

''Maybe I just burn everything I touch or I'm turning into the human torch,'' she shrugged still chewing on her food, ''or I'm just that shit at making breakfast,'' she added pointing her fork at him.

''what do you normally eat then?'' Marshall questioned a little intrigued.

'Taylor makes the best waffles.''

''Wait until you try mine you won't want anybody's ever again, I guarantee you that,'' Jodie nodded with a full mouth. Although the way his smirk lingered on his face told her that he wasn't just talking about waffles.

''Anyway food aside, I really wanna take you somewhere today and it'll just be us I can promise you that,'' Jodie smiled sweetly over at him. She knew he was trying to gage via her expression where she was going to take him and the smile she gave him, had put him off slightly.

''Could you give me a hint please?'' He asked, leaning over the table to collect her plate and clear up.

''We need to stop over at my house first and it could get cold so best bring layers,'' Marshall scrunched his face up in confusion.

''What?''

''You'll see,'' she winked at him and rushed out of the room so she could get back to the bedroom without him stopping her own the way.

''God please help me,'' Marshall whispered to nobody in particular as he waited for Jodie to come back down. He had no idea where she was taking him and he was a little worried if anyone asked him how he truly felt. He trusted Jodie though so he didn't question her as he let her get in the driver's seat of his car.

''Is this what you do on your weekends?'' Marshall questioned as he stared up at the building from the car. He had not expected Jodie to take him to an ice rink.

''Saturday mornings yes. I took Taylor the other week and she gave me the idea to take you,'' Jodie let a giggle slip from her lips as she remembered the joke she'd made that day.

''Still, think I should bring him here?'' Jodie asked from there position on the ice.
''Yeah, it'll be fun to see Eminem fall on his ass,'' they then both broke out in giggles as they attempted to help each other up.
''Guess we'll see if the real slim shady can really stand up,'' Jodie joked.

''What are you smirking about, you already imagining me falling right on my ass ain't ya,'' Jodie jumped as he poked her in the arm disrupting her memory.

''Maybe,'' she giggled, ''oh come on you'll be fine. Taylor threatened to stab me with her skates last week and I'm still here with no skate blade stab wounds so if she can do it you'll be fine,'' she shoved his arm gesturing for him to get out the car. We a sigh he did as he was told and leant by the door as she pulled out her stuff.

It was then he clocked the skates in her hands; he hadn't seen them in the bag when she'd put it in the back seat, but now he saw them clear as day. It was at that moment he decided he wasn't going to complain (not a lot at least) because he realised that this was something she liked and enjoyed doing.

''You ready, I'm sorry you're going to have to rent some skates, but the rink should be fairly quiet I always book an hour to myself so I can practise,'' Marshall nodded. He caught her off guard slightly as he entwined his hand with hers.

He wanted to ask what she was practising for, but the distant look that fell across her face as she'd said it told him to keep the question to himself. Instead, he took a deep breath and prepared for some bruising because he hadn't touched the ice since he'd taken Hailie to a birthday party a long time ago. His was prepared to be falling on his ass or morning.
