''I knew you were going to come in your car and if this went well then we'd be able to spend some extra time together,'' Marshall commented as he buckled himself into Jodie's car. It hadn't been long after their little make-out session that Jodie realised what the time was; concerned about being late for work tomorrow morning she decided to bring the night to a close. However, it appeared that Marshall hadn't driven himself to the date and so the date would only end once Jodie had dropped him off back home.
''What if it didn't go so well and I hated your guts?'' Jodie questioned, raising an eyebrow as she pulled out onto the near silent road.
''I knew you wouldn't, but I could have just got a taxi or broken into the back of your car,'' Marshall shrugged. Jodie let out a small laugh not believing what she was hearing.
''I'm pretty sure I would have known if you broke into my car especially with a whole picnic basket and Ken,'' Jodie replied nodding her head towards the unicorn that sat strapped into one of the passengers seats in the back, ''I mean did you really need to put a seatbelt on him?'' She added.
''Saftey first Jo, you can't play around with life right now.''
''He's stuffed Marshall,'' Jodie exclaimed. stopping at a set of traffic lights allowing her to fully look at him now. It was a struggle not to burst out laughing due to the small quirk of his lips and the mischievous glint in his eye.
''How dare you disrespect Ken like that apologize,'' Marshall pointed a finger at Ken whose head was lazy resting to the left.
''I'm not apologizing to a stuffed animal Marshall that's just weird.''
''And to think I thought this date was going well,'' he mumbled and Jodie rolled her eyes.
''Fine,'' she huffed, ''I'm sorry Ken for saying you're stuffed.''
''He thanks you for your apology.''
''You speak unicorn now?'' Jodie questioned as she took a sharp left corner.
''Hell yeah, one of my many amazing talents,'' it was then Marshall couldn't keep it in anymore and the rest of the way back to his house; the car descended into fits of non-stop laughter.

''So here we are,'' Jodie remarked as she pulled up, parking the car in front of Marshall's house, ''I kinda wish this didn't have to end you know,'' she added as she watched him unbuckle himself.
''It doesn't have to you could come in for a bit if you wanted to?'' Jodie bit her lip mulling over what he had just proposed to her. However, as much as she really didn't want the night to end, she knew that if she wanted to make it to work tomorrow not looking like a sleep-deprived Zombie she had to say no.
''I'm sorry, but I can't. I really want to...'' she trailed off not wanting to look at him. In a way, she felt ashamed that she couldn't just do what she wanted, that she had an actual schedule to conform too and Marshall not so much.
''Do you work every single day?'' The question was one she hadn't expected him to ask. In fact, she would have thought he'd have asked it while they were on the roof not right when they were about to say goodbye.
''Yeah, but it switches from working evenings over the weekends and then mornings during the day,'' Jodie shrugged thinking it wasn't a big deal.
''You need at least a day off.''
''Well sorry for not being able to afford my bills even with a fucking roommate,'' Jodie bit back, immediately regretting the hostile tone she's used, ''I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you,'' she quickly apologised, turning her eyes down to look at her hands that sat in her lap.
''Hey it's ok, I get. I shouldn't have said anything about it,'' he leaned over placing a hand over the two in her lap, ''just forget it ok,'' Jodie nodded finally turning to look back up at him.
''Um... I guess I'll see you again?'' She nervously asked, running her tumb without really thinking about it across his hand that held her own.
''Oh you most defiantly will I promise,'' taking her by surprise he pressed a quick peck on her lips before opening the passenger door and climbing out. She waited stunned as he grabbed the picnic basket and Ken from out of the back seat.
She was even more surprised when he knocked on her window, signalling for her to wind down her window. She did as he'd asked, a little worried about how happy he appeared to look, especially when she took in the same mischievous glint in his eye much like the one he had had earlier.
''Ken wants a kiss goodbye too,'' the next thing she knew she was bet with the fuzzy face of a unicorn.
''Seriously?'' She questioned a little concerned.
''Yeah turns out he hasn't quite forgiven you for calling him stuffed earlier,'' knowing he wasn't going to let it go, Jodie rolled her eyes and left a lingering kiss on the nose of the stuffed toy.
''Yo he wanted a kiss. He didn't wanna make out with ya,'' Marshall laughed as he pulled the unicorn away from the window, ''seriously though, I'll call you at some time tomorrow or the next day I promise.''
''I'll hold you to that,'' Marshall nodded and Jodie pulled the window back up. She was left to watch him as he walked towards his house a picnic basket swinging in one hand and a Unicron called key bunged under his arm. It was definitely a scene that Jodie had never expected to see; especially when the person was Eminem.
Shaking her head; after a few moments of watching him let himself into his own house, Jodie started the car and pulled out of his driveway. The night as a whole was certainly going to be something in her opinion one that she wasn't and very much didn't want to forget in a hurry. She just hoped that next time she'd be able to take him up on the offer of going into his home; if he ever asked again that is.
