Chapter 1-First day

Narrator's POV

It was Clem's first day at Ericsons boarding school for troubled youth. She moved in a town close to the school with her adoptive parents, Lee and Carley after her parents died. And her little brother AJ who's parents also died,

Clementine's POV

I was sleeping soundly in my room until..
"Wake up!" AJ jumped on me
"Jeez AJ! Whats the matter with you?"
"Its the first day of school!" He said excitedly
"So go get dressed!"
AJ left the room. I checked my phone and the time was 6:30am. I got out of my bed,took a shower,got dressed and headed down.
"Im off to work sweetie! Have a good first day of school" Carley said happily. She gave Lee a kiss on the cheek before she left.
"Hey sweetpea, Ready for your first day of school?" Lee asked me. "Well I got no other choice i guess" I responded as I sat down and ate breakfast. "Dont worry sweetpea im a teacher there, ill be there if anything happens" he reasured me. I gave him a smile and ate breakfast

Lee drove me to school and we got down, Lee had to rush in for a meeting about his schedule and stuff, I walked in and looked around, I saw a huge group of people together, and thought to myself "I wonder how it really feels to have a lot of friends.."

But me being the clutz I am, tripped and dropped my backpack which spilled all my books, "Just great!" I thought to myself, "Now everyone's gonna laugh at you!" I quickly picked up my books and my backpack when a boy with dreads came up to me, reached out his hand and said "Are you okay?" For a second I thought to myself "Why would he be helping me?" I took his hand and stood up, he smiled at me which made me think again- "He's...Being nice to me?" I gave a weak smile and walked away
