Leire's POV:
It has already been a month since I last saw Dan. A month of wizarding school. I've got to admit, I love it here! I finally understand everything weird about me and I gues I've simply found my place. The only thing, the only person I really really really miss is Dan.
Tears fall down my cheeks as I think about his stunning smile. Soon enough, I start sobbing like hell. God I miss him so much my heart hearts when I think about him.
I slowly get up and drag myslef to the bathroom mirror, checking my reflection. My curly hair looks fine but my eyes are all puffy and red from all my crying. I quickly rinse my face and make sure I look ok before going back into the dorm.
As I walk into the room, I see my room mates getting ready for breakfast and I decide to join them.
*Ten minutes later*
Oh god, not again! That weird guy, Albus is at the end of the staircase talking to the Malfoy boy. Surprisingly, he doesn't stare at mee as I walk pass. Confused by his indifference, I eavesdrop a little.
Turns out Quidditch tryouts are today. Might as well go along!
*End of breakfast*
A crack up as Mary says something hilarious. We've got so many things in come, we could be sisters! We both love cooking, watching movies, reading books and talking about Dan. Well, at least I talk, she listens but she doesn't seem to mind.
We're sitting on the benches, waiting for tryouts to begin. Carmen and Veronica join us and we all start chatting about random facts. Suddenly, Tobias and Tris join us. Tobias is a new guy from Slytherin, he kinda missed the train and came a week later. Poor guy! He's doing fine though. He quickly met Tris and they hit it off. They're the only couple in our year and I can't help but think of Dan. When they hold hands, I recall his long, delicate fingers wrapping, embracing mine. When they hug, I remember the warmth of his strong arms holding me close, protecting me from the outside world.
I exhale, turning away from them and hoplessly trying to concentrate on the tryouts.
Albus is next and when he climbs on to his brand new broom, he looks like nothing in the world can stop him. He catches the golden snitch countless of times, each time in some new kind uncanny way. He's really good at Quidditch!
The Gryffindor captain congratulates him and his eyes catch mine when he's descending onto the field. He waves at me, staring at me in that freaky way of his.
Everything happens in a matter of seconds. Albus looses control over his broom and crashes against the earth. Everyone around me gasps, and I find myself running towards him, helping him up and taking him towards the infirmary. Rose joins me. I can see Scorpious trying out for the team, wishing he could be helping out his friend.
I swiftly enter into the castle, delivering Albus. Rose and I wait outside, chatting a little. She's pretty smart and kind towards me.
"You know he was staring at you when he fell right?"-she says
"I know, but what can I do? He stalks me, freaks me out and I think he already knows I'm dating someone"- I respond
"Look, I'm not saying he's behavior is normal. He just really likes you. I know this may be sound weird but Al's a great guy, and I'm sure you could get to know him"- she says
"But, I just ,I"- I begin
"Just promise me you'll try, ok?"
I smile at her, nodding my head. She smiles back, rushing back to the quidditch pitch. I wait outside till Madame Pomfrey calls my name.
I step inside the infirmary and beam at Albus. He's asleep, but I take his hand, promising myself to be friendly to this guy. Being friends can't hurt him, if anything, it'll avoid him falling off his broom again.
I stroke his hand, thinking once again of Dan...
