"Well... How about we try the bazooka?" Maddie suggested.

Jazz and her parents were in the kitchen, surrounding a table of cluttered weapons, pondering what they want to take with them on the rescue mission. They agreed on some, not too deadly to hit Danny and torturous enough to hurt the enemy. Paranoia sank into them. With a look of displeasure, Jazz nodded with two fingers pinching the bridge of her nose

She sighed, crossing her arms. "I don't think that will work. We know how powerful the two are. The girl has a shield that will deflect anything that crosses paths. I mean, just look on how she defended herself against you two. No offense."

"None taken." Maddie mumbled, weaving her arms, as well as lowering her head. She hated to be beaten by an enemy, especially with her kind of skills.

Jack traced his eyes to the fishing pole and picked it up. "This will do. If we needing to catch them for answers, they can be caught by this."

"Good thinking, Dad," she said, holding up another weapon. "For all we know, they use almost the exact same technology as us, just in more higher power. Oh, and Mom? Might as well take the bazooka in case we need an escape plan."

Maddie nodded, turning her frown into a smile.

When picking up another weapon, Jazz's phone rang in her pocket. Holding it out to her ear, she asked, "Hello?"

"Jazz! Have you seen Danny?!" It belonged to Tucker.

"Not since he was captured by two goons. Why?" Jazz replied, nonchalantly.

"Wait, what?! He's been captured?!" Sam blurted. "Where's he now, Jazz?!"

"Will you two quiet down before I go deaf?!" Jazz yelled at the phone.

Silence went on the other line. Sam was the one to speak first with a sigh. "Sorry. We're just worried that Danny didn't come hang out with us like he told today. He said he'd be at the park at 12:00, but he never showed."

"Sorry to yell at you guys." she apologized. "Anyway, to answer your questions, here's what happened..."

"Hard to believe that we three successfully captured the same ghosts in less than a day! How lucky are we?"

Both of their jaws were hanging down. They didn't believe what they were seeing, nor wanting to ignore the fact explained to them already. What the old man, that devious, malevolent fool, have had done such a thing? The horror lying in the room that they were in couldn't be unseen. Hanged up in the same table was Danny, but not exactly him in appearance.

He looked like Jesus himself on the cross: His head bobbed to his right shoulder blade, both wrists and ankles tightly clamped instead of nails. The once snow white hair was now a dim gray color, a bloody, stitched letter Y lined his chest. Small trickles of blood dripped from the seams onto his skin. Each arm and leg was not left sewed together. Lastly, both his eyes were closed, the sides of his face sliced almost to each of his ears and streamed with faint blood tears.

"Now, where were there be without fear itself upholding a living object in its grasp, hm~? You two are that prime example. Those who are brave enough to obtain it shall possess its knowledge for there very own being." The old man walked over to the middle of them, glaring at the two with a grin. He shifted his glare to Vlad, leaning in maliciously. "I can ensure you this: Fear, for one thing and only for one thing, is to conquer the turmoil soul in order to thrive on its own."
