Corbyn, Daniel's long time best friend, has always been in Daniel's dreams and fantasies. Daniel knew he was gay, never being able to gain attraction and have a relationship with a girl. Corbyn has guessed a while back that he was so Daniel came clean. Corbyn knew Daniel well, all his secrets, whatever he was feeling. Except for Daniel's biggest secret. That Corbyn was his crush, the crush that would never go away, sure Daniel has had some crushes but none have been as major as this. To Daniel, Corbyn was his world, his shining light but there was a problem, Corbyn had someone else that fit that description, Christina.
Daniel and Corbyn were close, even closer than Christina and that worried her until she came to a conclusion.
~ Christina's POV ~
"I hate to do this to you Corbyn but we can't be together" the brunette speaks over the phone. "But we're doing good, what happened?" Corbyn questioned, feeling his heart breaking. "I'm not jealous, but Corbyn you and Daniel..." "we're nothing, I promise." Corbyn cuts her off and hears her sigh on the other side. "I know Corbyn but, the way you guys are around each other, the way you're always smiling and how you look at each other. There's someone there, something more than just a good friendship. Corbyn I know you well, well enough to make this decision for you. Even if you don't believe it yourself, you like him." That hit Corbyn like a truck, not knowing what to say. "I- uh" "Corbyn it's ok, don't push feelings away. I'm sure he'll give you everything you need, things I might not have been able to give you. I still love you but I know this will be the best for you and me. Go for him Corbyn, I'm sure he's done chasing you."
Christina can tell Corbyn's confused. His feelings are tangled and he doesn't know Daniel likes him. Christina has always known, being close with all the boys, she could tell he did and was surprised Corbyn never saw it. "What do you mean, chasing me?" Corbyn asks. "You'll find out, bye corby" with that she hangs up not letting a word from Corbyn get in, not saying he had anything to say anyways.
~ 3rd person ~
Corbyn didn't realise he was crying until Daniel walks in slowly and sits on his bed next to him asking him if he's ok.
"Daniel" Corbyn sobs and leans into Daniel's chest. "What is it bub?" Daniel whispers and rubs Corbyn's back comfortingly. "She, she broke up with me." Corbyn replies.
By this time Corbyn knows he isn't crying just because he's a little heartbroken.
"What happened?" Daniel speaks quietly but Corbyn can hear the worry in his voice, and Corbyn realised what Christina said. "She um she said that I" Corbyn stops as he sobs again, he was finally going to say it out loud, which makes it well, real. "She said I like you and I actually think she's right" Corbyn sighs, it's done, there's no turning back now and because of that he starts crying more, snuggling into Daniel's chest, feeling like a coward. "Don't hate me or think I'm weird please, I, I love you" Corbyn mumbles but loud enough for the brunette boy to hear.
Daniel's breath hitches. "Bub look at me" Daniel says softly. Corbyn looks up, his light blue green eyes shining because of the tears. "You don't need to be ashamed of who you and I won't think any less of you, in fact I just like you more because I like you too" Daniel says and leans in to kiss Corbyn's soft lips that he has been fantasising and dreaming of doing for a long time.
Corbyn hesitates to kiss back but then remember she should embrace who the real him is, the person who got pushed away by Corbyn. So he kissed back, with just as much love and affection as Daniel. The only time the kiss breaks for the next minute was Corbyn's small hiccups; the result of crying.
After pulling away, Corbyn cuddles back into Daniel's chest which Daniel takes into advantage, nuzzling his head into the crook of Corbyn's neck and places feathery kisses up and down it. Corbyn mumbles and "thank you" into the blue eyed boys hoodie, Daniel responding with a "you're welcome love" and a kiss on his head.
"After all this time I actually figured out who I am" Corbyn whispers.
"And after all this time I finally have you in my arms" Daniel whispers back, a soft smile appearing on both the boys faces.
"Will you be mine Corbs?"
"Yes" Corbyn answers and Daniel boops his nose with his own, resting their foreheads together as their breaths mix.
