Daniel was currently at "the relay for life" and event hosted every year for 24 hours. The event is fundraising and remembering those people who have lost their lives to cancer. Daniel didn't know anyone personally that had been effected but he always loved taking part in such cool events. It was crazy to see the turnout this year.
The event consisted of a 400 metre track, you could walk or run around the track as many times as you wanted holding a transmitter that counted every lap. There was a candle ceremony when it got dark, paper bags decorated with color and a person who had died due to cancer. They lined the track with small electronic candles in them, lighting the way. There was a couple minutes of silence as one team member from a group/club walked around during the ceremony.
Daniel was apart of his high schools team, the hustle and bustle of tents all around the track, sending out positive vibes as live entertainment played throughout the night.
The brunette decided to walk a couple of laps, shuffling his playlist called "night tracks" he put in his airpods and started wandering around the track. One of his other team mates had the transmitter but Daniel didn't mind about his laps not counting, he just wanted to take in the sight of everyone coming together for a great cause.
As the boy walked around, humming quietly to his music projecting into his ears, he looked around, to the stars and to people around him.
A boy caught his eye, it was pretty dark but his eyes shone in the moonlight. His blonde hair was a mess atop of his head and his shirt was off, a small layer of sweat adorning his shirtless chest, glistening in the light. He was running, his biceps flexing when his arms bent and his abs being shown off.
He only saw him for a mere second as he whizzed past him but the boy was stunning, his features alluring. Before the blonde came back Daniel decided to move closer to the running lane, he could get a better view the next time.
The blonde came back around a second time, Daniel once again staring. The blue eyed boy almost drooled, his back muscles were amazingly defined. He thinks the boy saw him staring so he quickly looked up at the sky.
He walked peacefully along, not thinking about the boy anymore and focusing on the music.
"hey" Daniel almost jumped, startled by the boy who was now jogging next to him. He awkwardly took out his airpod and waved. Realising he looked completely stupid he smiled and said a small hi. "how are you?" The blonde asked, now jogging backwards so he was facing Daniel. "extremely good because a hot shirtless guy is talking to me" He mumbled but the boy heard and smiled. "i'm glad you're pleased by my presence. you're not to bad yourself. I'm Corbyn." The boy now known as Corbyn said, wiping his hand and then holding it out. "oh very pleased, thanks although i look like a whole rat. i'm Daniel" The brunette replied and shook Corbyn's hand, feeling tingles as he did.
"i'll be taking a break from running in a little, my tent is over there. i'll catch you later stalker boy" The shirtless boy said, speeding up his backwards jogging as he spoke. He winked before turning around and running full pace off.
Daniel smiled, a hot boy talked to him, actually wanted to talk to him and holy shit was he happy.
The brunette made sure to go stalk the tents to see if he had sat down, indeed he had and he was still shirtless, Daniel had to force himself to go over there with him looking like that.
He walked over to his tent awkwardly as other people were sitting by him. Corbyn looked over and made eye contact with him, immediately smiling. The blonde stood up and walked up to him. "Hey Daniel, i'm glad you came over" Corbyn put his hand at the bottom of the youngers back, guiding him over to the couch he was previously sitting at. "Hey boys, this is my friend Daniel" They all gave Corbyn a look, almost a smirk but more subtle. "hey" Daniel said and smiled. They all replied with small hello's but mostly kept all their focus on Corbyn.
"do you wanna walk around?" Corbyn asked and the brunette nodded. "hold up i'll just put a hoodie on" The blonde said, grabbing an extremely nice grey hoodie and slipping it on, covering his extremely sexy body. Corbyn's hand once again found the small of Daniel's back and moved them towards the track.
"sorry for being awkward as fuck before. What i really meant to say was that i'm good and i was even better then that you were talking to me." Daniel apologised, although he didn't think he needed to but he felt like he needed Corbyn to know that he wasn't a creep. "so you don't think i'm hot?" Corbyn teased, pouting. "no, that's not what i meant- you're extremely good looking. I just don't want you thinking i'm thirsty or desperate." The blue eyed boy replied. "i'm just playing with you, and i never thought that. in fact i'm glad i spotted you. i want to get to know you." The blonde smiled as he saw a small blush form on Daniel's cheeks.
They had now walked back round to Corbyn's tent, the two having talked about some common interests and exchanged numbers.
"i should get going now, i'll probably be running in a bit. um can i hug you?" Corbyn asked. Daniel nodded vigorously, maybe a little to eager but he didn't care.
The blonde leaned in, wrapping his arms around Daniel's waist, Daniel instinctively wrapping his arms around the tallers neck. "you're really cute and i can't wait to get to know you, text me later yeah?" Corbyn spoke softly into Daniel's ear. "oh trust me, i will. Nobody with back muscles like yours are going anywhere." Daniel said, mostly joking, the blonde giving a low laugh.
Corbyn pulled away and smiled, walking to the couch and sitting down. Daniel started walking but looked back, catching the boys glance. Corbyn winked and waved cutely at Daniel as Daniel smiled and walked away.
He sure was glad he came to this.
