~ i know corey's death is still a touchy subject so for anyone who might not be able to handle please skip past. if you need anyone to talk to, i'm here <3 also please don't hate on me for writing this, in no way am i trying to use his death and to make it something more, this  just gave me inspiration. i myself did not think i would be writing about corey but he would want us to go on. i have taken my time to heal - not fully - but i was hoping this would give me a little reassurance/closure whatever you wanna call it. hope you enjoy (: ~

~ 3rd person ~

Corey La'Barrie died

daniel was a mess that night he walked away from the scene, seeing corey like that broke his heart. he couldn't have imagined loosing one of his best friends this early on in life, he felt so utterly depressed.

he was gonna go so far

the brunette boy sobbed his heart out when the seavey family got the devastating call from the hospital and he hasn't stopped since then. it wasn't right, it couldn't be right. corey could not be dead, daniel needed him, he needed one of his hugs and he needed him there for all the good advice and long chats.

corbyn, daniels closest friend from the band heard about the tragic news, he knew daniel would be heart broken so he called keri, who was also very upset and arranged for corbyn to stay with them for a little while, as a support person not only for daniel but for any of the seavey's that needed it. not only was corbyn happy that he was able to comfort the family, he was happy he got to spend more time with the younger boy.

corbyn arrived at the seavey household, the usual welcoming vibe was long gone as a gloomy blanket engulfed it, the blonde frowned. he hated knowing that the family he's closest to is hurting. however, the blonde plastered on a smile, knowing they'd need to see one, as he knocked on the door.

keri opened the door and immediately ushered him inside, pulling him into a bone crushing hug. "thank you so much for coming sweetheart" she whispered as she looked back at him, her eyes holding sadness. "it was my pleasure keri, and if you need me to dash out and get the groceries or anything, i'd be happy to help." corbyn spoke softly and gave her a reassuring smile, her sending a weak one back.

keri squished his cheeks before patting him on the back lightly. "he's up in his room hun, he hasn't eaten today so if you could please take this to him and get him to eat a little?" the woman asked as she lead them to the kitchen and she handed him a plate. corbyn smiled and nodded before moving away and making his way to the stairs. on the way past he greeted jeff who was sat on the couch in the living room watching something on tv.

the blonde made it up the stairs and past daniel's siblings rooms, popping in to quickly greet them and see how they were holding up. he stayed with anna for a little as she broke down the moment corbyn asked so gently how she was. she and corey, although they never hung out other than when he was at the house, he was an amazing person and anna could see how much he impacted daniel and it broke her heart to see him that upset. so corbyn gave her a hug and sat with her until she realised that he was here for daniel and that she would be ok now.

christian was also in need of a hug, him being the other seavey who was most affected. tyler was hurt, mainly because he was watching his family in a great amount of pain, he didn't have too much to do with corey but his passing was still a big deal to him. finally, the most important person he came here for.

corbyn knocked lightly on the boys door. "mom i don't want to eat right now" corbyn heard how broken daniel was through the thick wood, his heart breaking at the raspy cracked voice. "dan?" the blonde called softly, not wanting to barge in. he heard a shuffle of footsteps before the door was swiftly opened to reveal a red eyed, messy haired, broken boy and a room that reflected his look perfectly. "corbyn what are you- you're supposed to be in virginia?" daniel says dumbfounded. "well i was in virginia, but i came here to see you because you're more important than having a holiday" corbyn spoke softly and daniel let a tear slip from his eye but he quickly brushed it away, not wanting corbyn to see him like this.
"t-thank you" the brunette stuttered. "so uh, you gonna let me in?" corbyn joked to lighten the mood, however daniel only nodded sheepishly and moved to the side so the blonde could enter.
