Chapter 13: Official Hero

It has been about three weeks since Saitama and Saya became an official couple. Still, being affectionate was still an issue for them, though. Mainly, due to the new changes and building more trust. Regardless, things were going smoothly.

Saitama was at King's place, playing video games. Of course, Saitama was doing horribly against King.

"Do you want the handicap, now?" King asked, but a smirk indicated a slight taunting.

"Shut up!" Saitama snapped back, a vein popping in annoyance, pounding at the control buttons aggressively.

King struck up some conversation, "You seem to be doing a lot better since the last time we hung out. Did you guys talk?"

"Yeah, we did. We decided that we're going to try to make it work," Saitama replied, all the while keeping his focus on the game.

"The invincible Saitama has a girlfriend, now?" King smiled at that, "I'm happy to hear that."

King delivered the killing blow and Saitama threw himself on his back in agitation, "Dammit! I thought I had you!"
"That's what you always think, Saitama," King retorted. Just then, Saitama's cell phone started to ring, King noticed it first, "You gonna get that?"

"Yeah, yeah," Saitama sat himself up and pulled his phone out, answering without looking at the caller ID, "Hello?"

"Hi, Saitama," Saya's voice came through from the other end.

Saitama's face went from blank, to slightly wide eyed, "Oh, hey. What's up?"

"I wanted to talk to you about something. Are you at your apartment?" Saya asked.

Saitama answered, "Uh, no. I'm at King's place."

"Alright. I'll be there soon," Saya hung up and Saitama closed his phone,

King, whose interest piqued at the unusual conversation, asked, "Who was it?"
"Saya. She wants to talk about something," Saitama relayed. Just as he said this, there was a knock at the door. Curious, King got up to answer the door. When he opened it, he was shocked to find Saya standing there.

"Hi, King. Is Saitama here?" Saya tried to peek pass him as she asked.

"Um, how'd you get here so quickly?" King blinked at her.

"Hm? Oh, I flew," Saya said simply, which only shocked and confused the man even more.

Saitama peeked over to see why it was taking so long, and he saw Saya in the doorway, "King, is that Saya?"

King looked back and stumbled over his words, "Uh, yeah. Here, come in," he moved to allow her inside, which she nodded in gratitude.

Saya immediately took her spot next to Saitama, "So, what do you want to talk about?" Saitama asked, still holding the controller and King came back to sit down.

"Hello to you, too," Saya then asked, "Anyway, how would you feel if I registered to become an official hero?"

*CRUNCH*

Saya looked down, as well as Saitama and King, only to see that the bald hero had broken the controller in half.

King groaned, "Come on, man, that was brand new."

Saitama became a little flustered and put the controller down, then turned to her again, "What brought this on?"

"What I want to know is why you find this surprising?" Saya questioned, wanting a bit of explanation, herself.
