The days had been coming and going. No events occurred, nor anymore scouting spacecrafts. However, Sona's warnings and meeting updates had left the Hero association vigilant, as well as the Class S heroes.
Everyday, they heroes trained and trained. Every meeting they were coming up with strategies and options for negotiations.
And what were our favorite heroes doing? Shopping.
"We already had tofu, I'm not eating the same thing twice for two days straight," Saya argued half-heartedly. Both Saitama and herself were clad in their hero outfits, discussing dinner options in the vegan aisle.
Saitama insisted, "Come on, it's not that bad. Besides, they're still on sale."
"Absolutely not. I'm not wasting money to buy something I'm not going to eat," Saya shot back, brows furrowed. This little arrangement had been going on for a while. It's getting to a point where it's almost as though Saitama and her were living together. They weren't, but Saitama definitely spent more time at her place than at his apartment. They even make dinner at each other's places, which was why they were having this little argument.
Just then, they heard, "Excuse me?"
Stopping their bickering, the two heroes turned to look in front of them.
It was a teenage girl and a little boy, her younger brother.
The girl's eyes sparkled as she stared at Saya, "Oh my gosh! It is you! The new A Class Hero!!"
Saya blinked, stunned that she was meeting a fan, "Uh, yes. Can I help you?"
"Um, I was hoping to get a photo with you and, maybe ask a few questions?" The girl blushed, fidgeting in place from both excitement and hesitancy.
Saya was about to decline, not really comfortable with such publicity.
"She'd love to," Saitama answered for her.
Saya gave him a side glance. To the public, it didn't mean anything, but to Saitama, he knew she was going to give him an earful, later.
The girl squealed and proceeded to take out her phone. She put herself next to Saya, held up the phone with a smile and the camera flashed. Saya didn't smile as she didn't really see the point, but the girl was happy with it, nonetheless.
As the girl thanked her and was putting her phone away, the little boy finally spoke up, "Can you make your body glow? You look really cool when you do it."
Saya said nothing but knelt down to the boy. Holding out her gloved hand, she focused her energy until her hand was encased in white flames.
"Whoaa," the boy was mesmerized and looked up at her, "Can I touch it?"
Saya gave a nod. Saitama was shocked that she'd let this boy do so, as her raw energy can vaporize anything and everything it touched.
However, when the boy put his hand in it, the flames did nothing but swirl around his hand like sweltering smoke. The whole time the boy looked awestruck.
Finally, after a minute, he pulled his hand away and it dissipated, "It felt warm, like a hug! Why didn't it hurt me?"
Saya explained,"I can control my energy so it doesn't hurt innocent people. I can even create a shield out it if I wanted to."
"Cool!!" The boy had stars in his eyes. Finally, the two kids bid a farewell to them.
When they were gone, Saya finally turned to Saitama and promptly flicked him in the forehead.
The force of the flick was the equivalent of being punched by an average person, if an average person can hurt Saitama.
"Ow! What the hell?!" Saitama exclaimed, rubbing his now red forehead.
Saya crossed her arms, "That's for putting me on the spot. You know I hate publicity."
Saitama gave a small pout in annoyance, but changed the subject, "So, how did you do that? With your energy, I mean?"
"Hm? Oh. I just practiced, that's all. I just barely brought out any energy in my hand and didn't purposely distribute it, it's pretty much harmless," Saya then held her chin,"Actually, that's not completely true. If my energy were contained in another vessel aside from me, it would become unstable. Then, there'd be a problem."
"Another vessel? Like what?" Saitama inquired.
Before Saya can even reply, both of their phones went off, "Huh?"
They both answered there phones, "Yeah?"

Genos, Sona, Saya and Saitama were all at the Hero Association Headquarters.
"The ships are just days away from approaching," Sona informed them, all watching the holographic screen with a formation of dots coming towards their planet,"My approximation would be 72 hours."
"What's the plan, Sona?" Saya asked,"With that many ships, not even sure Saitama and I can take them all out without them causing collateral damage to the cities, as well as casualties."
"But won't some of the ships go to the other planets? They wanted to destroy the solar system, right?" Saitama asked, "There won't be as many ships when they arrive to earth that way, right?"
Sona turned to him, expression hardened, "It is very clear that you have not been paying attention during the previous meetings. They have already sent scouts out months before this. What they are looking for is not on any of the other planets. It is here."
