It had been about a month since the tests. All was quiet in City Z, and Saya decided to patrol around the other cities.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Genos, why are you following me?" and they were back to it again.
Saya was currently standing on a rooftop, arms crossed. Genos standing in front of her, but instead of looking guilty, he was standing up to her.
"I am simply making sure you are not causing any unnecessary damage," Genos said to her.
Saya was wearing her uniform, her hood down to show her displeasure, "I don't need a babysitter. Go home."

"I could care less if you believe you do not need to be watched. The fact of the matter is that I still do not trust you," Genos argued.
Saya grumbled under her breath, "I have nothing more to prove to you."
Just then, there was screaming down below on the streets.
People were screaming, seeing a giant Fishhead monster with tentacles for arms destroying cars and stores. It was nearly eight stories high.
"I will handle this, you stay here,"Genos went to attack, but Saya stopped in front of him.
No words were exchanged but the cyborg knew she wasn't going to let this go.
Finally, he came to a compromise, "Keep the civilians at a safe distance while I handle the monster."
"Fine," Saya pulled up her hood and flew into action.
Down below, the monster was wreaking havoc, grabbing anything it can find and throwing them. It grabbed a car, crushed it and hurled it towards a crowd.
Most of them ran out of the way, but a mother holding her son tripped. She stared in fear as the car came closer to impact. She closed her eyes, as well as her son, waiting to be crushed.
But it never came. Hearing the weird sound of creaking metal, the little boy opened his eyes.
He stared in awe as this cloaked figure seemed to lift this car over her head with one arm. Saya, her features hidden by her hood, looked down at the pair, "Get to safety. Now," she ordered.
"Thank you!" The woman gasped and held her son as she resumed her running. Saya turned her attention to the beast and with no effort, chucked the car back at it.
Meanwhile, Genos was trying to take it down, using Machine Gun Blows and his incineration cannons. Nothing seemed to be working.
As he was landing on a building to collect himself, he was shocked to see an ariel projectile being hurled at the monster's head. As a result of the force, it came clean off its shoulders.
"What the?" Genos was stunned as the now headless monster fell back into the street.
"You could've just let me handle it," Genos turned quickly and saw Saya floating beside him in the air, arms crossed as usual.
"That was you?" Genos asked, eyes wide, "My attacks barely did anything."
"Why are you surprised? You've seen what I can do," Saya pointed out, sounding virtually indifferent.
Genos composed himself and replied,"I suppose that I am still comprehending that Master is no longer the only strongest hero."

Just then, they heard a commotion below them. The crowd that had initially ran away started the crowd around, staring up at them.
Some started clapping, cheering and even taking photos. What really caught their attention was people asking who Saya was.
"It seems they want to know who just saved them," Genos turned back to her, "Have the Hero Association given you a name?"
Saya blinked at him, "A name? No, not that I've heard. I guess, they had no need to since I haven't had any monster kills, yet. I guess, this makes my big debut."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Later that day, Saya had gotten out of her uniform and decided to go grocery shopping with Saitama. This had started to become a regular thing with them and they wouldn't have it any other way.
The sun was just starting to set as the couple were walking around with their bags.
"So, a pork hot pot sounds good tonight. What do you think?" Saya asked, smiling at the bald hero.
Saitama looked back at her, "Sounds good to me. By the way, I heard from Genos that you took down your first monster today. How did it go as your first hero deed?"
"It wasn't really that exciting. It was pretty weak, to be honest," Saya recalled, looking up in thought, "I mean, all I did was throw a car at it and killed it."
"I wish I could've seen it," Saitama remarked. They happened to be walking passed a TV store when the news suddenly came on.
Saitama noticed first, "Hey, the news is on."
"Hm?" Saya raised a brow at him before looking to see he was watching the screens. She walked over and listened in, as well. The News Lady began to speak:
"In other news: It seems that there's a new hero on the streets. And not one to be trifled with. Earlier today, a Fishhead monster was wreaking havoc in City H. Demon Cyborg and a companion had swooped in to destroy the creature. This new hero effectively doing so by throwing a car at it. Here is some footage of the battle."
The footage then cut to a clip, shooting a sideview of Saya catching the car before hitting the woman and child. As they ran off, it showed Saya simply throwing the car back at the creature, effectively taking the monster's head off.
"Wow, that was pretty badass," Saitama commented, making Saya blush. The clip ended and went back to the news studio:
"As it shows, this new hero is a strong one. Later research confirms her to be an A Class hero rookie. The boy and the mother in that video were not harmed and even wanted to spare some words to the woman who saved them."
It then cut to another clip, one of the boy and the mother.
The boy smiling excitedly, "It was awesome! She was standing over us holding that car like it was a toy. She looked so cool, like a Guardian Angel Warrior, or something!"
The mother then spoke, smiling gratefully, "I was so scared that we were going to get hurt. I'm so grateful that she appeared when she did. Miss, If you are watching this--Thank you for saving us."
Saya blinked in astonishment, then beamed at the fact she had someone thanking her.
She then noticed Saitama staring at her, a small smile on his face, "What?"
Saitama, with eyes closed said, "It's nice to see you getting the recognition you deserve. I wonder what they're going to call you."
They continued to walk and Saya gave a little nudge, "Hopefully something better than 'Caped Baldy'," she then bursted into a fit of giggles at the memory.
"Now that was uncalled for!" Saitama almost pouted.
Saya then stopped but continued to smile, "Sorry, but honestly? You should've been given a better name. You are the strongest person in the known universe and should be given more credit."
"As long as I have you and my friends, I could care less about recognition," Saitama said. Saya pecked him on the cheek, making the hero beet red, "Couldn't that have waited?"
"No," Saya smiled fondly at him.
Saitama was embarrassed but he was happy that he had someone who was willing to stand beside him, aside from his disciple.
While they were walking, Saitama walked Saya to her flat first. And then they decided to have the hot pot at her place.
"Here's the tea," Saya put down the two mugs, a large hot pot of pork and vegetables bubbling inside.
"You didn't have to make tea," Saitama commented.
Saya sat next to him, "You prepped the hot pot, so I made the tea. It's only fair."
There it went again. Saitama heart was pounding. It's been happening more and more often. Seeing Saya almost all the time, it seems to be the only thing that brightened his day. She had definitely come a long way since their little fallout, and now they had been dating for almost two months.
Saitama never thought he'd have a significant other. Especially after becoming strong, he thought for sure that his emotions were waning.
' I guess...love really does bring out the best in people,' Saitama thought as he sipped at his tea, remembering Mumen Rider's words. He wouldn't give this up for anything.
A little while after, they started cleaning up. Saya was washing the dishes while Saitama dried them and put them on the rack.
"You know, I find it funny," Saya started, "You seem so used to being at my flat, I've had neighbors actually start asking me questions."
Saitama gave her a curious look, "What kind of questions?"
"Well, mostly about who you are. The funny one is when we're going to get married," Saya chuckled at remembering that question, "I'm sure they're just teasing me, though."
Saitama didn't react to that, at all. Internally, though, he was a little unnerved by that.
'Marriage? Isn't it a little too soon for that? I haven't been coming around that often,' Saitama wiped another plate dry, but paused to stare at his reflection, ' Besides, I don't think I'd make good husband material.'
"Honestly, I don't dislike the idea," Saya surely said.
Saitama looked up at her, perplexed, "You mean, getting married?"
"Well...yes," Saya started to hesitate with her answer, diverting her attention towards the half empty sink,"In the future, I mean. Distant future. I know we're probably not ready for that big a step. I mean, we haven't been together long, either."
Saitama, although feeling slightly relieved, felt a pang of disappointment.
He went back to looking at the dish but wondered, "So, hypothetically, if I asked you now, would you say no?"
When he looked up at her he saw that she was staring right back at him. Her cheeks bright red, but she looked angry.
Flustered, she looked away, "Seriously?! Why do you have to put me on the spot?!"
"What are you talking about? You're the one that brought up the subject!" Saitama shot back, not exactly sure why she was getting defensive.
She looked back at him, her cheeks still red, "I was just trying to make conversation! I didn't want you to ask something like that!"
"When it involves us, why shouldn't I ask these questions?! If you're not ready then just say so!" Saitama snapped back at her, "I'm sure as Hell that I know I'm not ready for that!"
"Good, me either!" Saya barked. It quickly went silent, both glaring at one another.
As quickly as that started, the tension started to simmer down.
Saitama sighed, "Ugh, why are we even arguing over this?"
Saya sighed, too, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to start anything, your question just...took me off guard."
"Don't be, I shouldn't have snapped, either," Saitama apologized, then realized something, "Wait, did we just have our first fight?"
Saya blinked at him, which turned into a scoff, "Yeah, I guess we did. I think that was the dumbest thing I've ever argued about."
Saitama put the last dish away and put an arm around her waist, "Well, I wouldn't say it was dumb. I think we should talk about stuff, like this. It's good to be on the same page, right?"
Saya looked up at him, "Yeah, you're right. You know, I think you'd make a good husband, anyway."
Saitama blushed at that, turning his head away, rubbing the back of his head bashfully.
"Thanks."
