FINALLY SOME JIHOPE POV!!! (in the middle of the chapter)

*****

"Are you going to come out today?" Namjoon asked, knocking on the bedroom door. It had been three days since he and Jin had fought, and the man hadn't come out of the room since then. Even his attempts at getting him to come out to eat had been met with a muffled "later" from the other side of the door.

When Jin didn't answer him, he sighed and returned to the sofa. He had apologized for what happened probably twenty times, but Jin just told him he didn't care what he did in his free time. Considering he had locked himself in the bedroom for three days, Namjoon assumed he actually did, though he wasn't sure why.

He's acting like I cheated on him or something, he thought to himself, almost laughing at the idea.

He sobered, though, when he really thought about it. Jin had been through something terrible, and Namjoon was supposed to be keeping him safe while being someone he could trust. And he had broken that trust, so that's probably why Jin was so pissed.

He'd probably feel the same way if their roles were reversed.

He jumped to his feet when the bedroom door suddenly opened and Jin stepped into the living room. He had a thoughtful frown on his face, and Namjoon could tell he was still contemplating something.

"Hyung?"

Jin's dark eyes met his, and he heard him sigh. "I would like to apologize. I was unfair to you, so I'm sorry."

"I'm the one who should be apologizing. Again," he chuckled.

"Let's just say we were both jerks?" Jin suggested, smiling.

"That's fair," he nodded.

"Ok."

Namjoon shot forward when the other man turned to go back into the bedroom, slamming his hand on the door to keep it open. "Wait."

"What?"

"Will you please come out of there for a little while? Maybe eat something?"

"You're kind of obsessed with me eating," he sighed, grinning slightly.

"Can you blame me? We've been here almost two weeks and I've only seen you eat maybe ten times. Your eyes have dark circles under them, too, which tells me you haven't been sleeping. When I'm supposed to be looking after you, can you blame me for worrying about you not eating and sleeping?"

"If I eat something, will you stop nagging me?"

"Probably."

"Ok," he said, going to the kitchen. Namjoon didn't miss, however, the way he got passed him without touching him at all.

"We've had a few breaks in the case while you were being a shut-in," he said.

Jin took the bait, looking at him. "Like what?"

"Some people around the first safehouse saw a vehicle with its headlights off leaving the area around the same time police began arriving, and they were able to get a license plate. We assume it had fake registration, but it's something."

"No description on the driver?"

He shook his head. "This guy has done a good job of avoiding cameras, always wearing a baseball cap or something."

"Damn it," Jin growled, angrily slicing the beef.

"We'll get him, so don't worry."

"It's been two weeks. If you haven't caught him by now, I don't see that happening. No offense, Namjoon, but I don't think we'll see that assassin again until he's in front of me pulling the trigger."
