Namjoon looked like he was in shock as he called off the ambulance and patrols, calling Jackson also to explain what Jin had said.
All of that lying earlier for nothing, he thought to himself, annoyed. He could have saved himself some trouble if he had known that damned hunter was going to show up so soon. He'd been too startled to go after him, so he was probably gone for at least a day or two, expecting the police to be on high alert.
"Ok, explain. What the hell is," Namjoon waved his hand at Jin, "that."
Yoongi is going to kill me. Probably Hoseok, too. "It's the reason I was so resistant to you watching me while the police searched for the person who murdered my parents and brother."
"And that is?"
He paused a moment. He'd never had to explain this to a human before, so he wasn't exactly sure how. Deciding to just get on with it, he said, "I'm a vampire."
The other man stared at him, blankly, for several moments in silence. Finally, he raised an eyebrow and frowned. "You're a vampire?"
He nodded.
"Are you serious? That is the explanation you're going with? Do you think I'm some kind of idiot?" Namjoon got to his feet, angry. "A Vampire?" He let out a small, disbelieving, laugh. "That's a first. You know, if you didn't want to tell me, you could have just--"
"It's the truth." He also got to his feet. "Look." He lifted his shirt, revealing his mostly-healed side.
Namjoon shook his head. "I don't know what you're playing at here, Seokjin, but it isn't funny."
He sighed, going passed him to pull another bag of blood from his duffel bag. Making sure Namjoon was watching, he ripped open the top and drank it. The officer stumbled back, seeing Jin's eyes turn blue and his fangs elongate.
"How's that?" Jin asked him, wiping his mouth and throwing the empty bag to the floor.
"What the fuck--"
"I'm a vampire, Namjoon. I said that."
His face paled, and he had to put his hand on the wall to keep himself from falling. "Oh my god."
"You should sit down," he said, taking a step towards the other man, but stopping when he backed away.
"Stay over there."
"Ok. Just sit down before you collapse again. You really shouldn't be standing."
"So what happened in the bathroom wasn't a dream."
"No. But--"
"So that thing you were doing--you were drinking my blood?"
"If you sit down, I'll--"
"Oh my god," Namjoon's voice was sounding more and more panicked.
This is not going well. What if he does something stupid like try to tell his Chief? For all Jin knew, he might try to shoot him. He couldn't really blame him, considering he had sort of attacked him.
His wide eyes suddenly met Jin's, and his hand shot to his shoulder. "Am I going to turn into a vampire?"
Jin couldn't stop himself from bursting into laughter.
"What in the hell are you laughing about?!"
"I'm sorry," he said, covering his mouth to attempt to stifle his laughter. "I've never done this before, so I guess I just wasn't expecting that question."
"Never done what before?"
"Told a human what I am," he answered.
"Human. Oh my god." Namjoon put his hands over his face. "What the fuck is happening? I'm losing it, I know it. This is not real. I'm dreaming."
