Jimin sat up with a gasp as soon as his eyes had opened, and Hoseok watched him quietly from the vanity.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, already knowing the answer by how pale Jimin's face looked. That only made him feel worse.
"I feel pretty dizzy. What happened?" Jimin said, blinking slowly as he looked up at Hoseok.
"What's the last thing you remember?"
Jimin's eyes widened, and he quickly looked away as red covered the entirety of his visible skin. Hoseok watched carefully as his hand slowly came up and rested over the bandage on his neck. Just as slowly, his eyes turned back to Hoseok.
"What happened?" He asked again.
"We made out. Quite hotly, I might add," Hoseok answered, attempting to lighten the mood as he got to his feet.
Jimin also rushed to his feet, stumbling back until he hit the wall.
"You should sit back down."
"W-What did you--Why..." Jimin trailed off, frowning down at the floor as he shook his head, his hand once more touching the bandage on his neck.
"Sit down, then we can talk," Hoseok told him. He lifted his hand to place it on Jimin's shoulder, but he pulled away when the man flinched. Frowning, he took a step back. "I'm not going to hurt you, Officer Park. Please sit down."
Jimin met his eyes, blinking slowly a few times before nodding and sitting on the edge of the bed. Hoseok sat next to him, though he made sure not to sit too close. What the hell am I supposed to say to him? I've never done this before. The donors I've fed on in the past already knew what I was, so they knew what to expect. And the humans I've fed on without them knowing....well...they never knew, so there was nothing to explain.
"Are you going to say anything?" He finally asked, still watching the officer.
"I'm not really sure what I should be saying. I think first you should explain all of this to me. What did--how--" Jimin trailed off with a quiet curse, like he wasn't sure how to ask what he was thinking. Luckily, Hoseok could guess what the biggest question he probably had was.
"I bit you," he said.
Jimin's eyes were wide when they met his. "Bit me? Like--Like a--"
"Vampire. Yes. I mean, the elders could have picked a cooler name, but that was the one they were going with when some humans caught on and made the term famous, so now it's the name we're stuck with. Seems a little dark for my tastes, but--"
"Wait a damned minute!" Jimin snapped, getting to his feet. "You're telling me that you're a vampire? And what happened last night was you drinking my blood?"
"Yes, but--"
"Like a real vampire? Like from the movies?"
"Well, not really--"
"Oh my god," Jimin groaned, beginning to pace the room, "I made out with a vampire. I got bitten by--" he suddenly stopped with a gasp and turned to Hoseok, "am I going to turn into a vampire?! Oh my god, I can't be a vampire." He began pacing again, his eyes looking a little dazed. "I can't drink someone's blood, and I don't want to live forever. I just want to--"
"Jimin!" Hoseok left his seat on the bed and grabbed the human's shoulders, forcing him to stop. "You aren't going to turn into a vampire, alright? Will you listen to me for a minute?" Ah, hell, this is not going how I thought it would. I expected him to get mad and shoot me or something, not freak out and panic like this!
