"Namjoon! Where's Jin-Hyung?"
"Hoseok? Jimin? What are you two doing here?" Namjoon asked as the two of them joined him in his hiding spot behind a park bench.
"Sorry," Jimin began, apologetically.
"I wasn't just sitting by while Jin-Hyung came to face this bastard," Hoseok snapped. "You might not get it, but I can help, alright? Just believe me when I say that this assassin is really bad news."
"I know," Namjoon said. "Jin told me about the hunter."
Hoseok looked taken aback, but then he sighed almost in relief. "I should have guessed he'd end up telling you. Alright, so you know about us and the hunter, that's good. Jimin knows, too, so that's less I have to think of excuses."
"Jimin knows?" "Namjoon-Hyung knows?" They asked at the same time, looking at each other in surprise.
"Listen," Hoseok snapped his fingers in front of their faces to get their attention, "we aren't dealing with a regular assassin here. Hunters are trained to kill vampires--and they're not below doing anything they can to get their target. Now, where is Jin-Hyung?"
"I sent him away," Namjoon said. "We found out that our damned chief was the mole, and he led us into a trap. As soon as there was an opportunity, I covered Jin and told him to get out of here. He should have taken one of our cars to a safehouse Jackson and I set up not far from here. Jackson's already there, waiting."
"Damn it," Hoseok cursed. "He's in more danger there than he was here."
"Why?" Namjoon asked, frowning.
"These are just hired gunmen--the hunter isn't here," Hoseok said. "If the hunter was here, wouldn't he have already come out to attack Jin-Hyung?"
"What are you saying? The hunter set this up and somehow managed to follow Jin?"
The vampire nodded. "We need to get to that safehouse--now. Both Jin-Hyung and your detective friend are in trouble."
"I drove here," Jimin said. "Let's take my car."
Namjoon nodded, a bad feeling settling in his stomach again. He knew something was going to go wrong when they started this crazy plan. He really hoped Jin and Jackson would be alright until they could get to them.

"It's empty! Where the hell are they?" Hoseok had gone through the entire safehouse twice, with no signs that anyone had stepped foot inside the place.
Namjoon searched the empty apartment one more time as Hoseok cursed from the living room. "Damn it, Namjoon, you said this was the safehouse!"
"It is," he sighed, joining Hoseok and Jimin in the living room. "I don't know why they aren't here."
"Neither Jackson nor Jin-Hyung are answering their phones," Jimin told them. He'd been trying to call them since they left the park, but they hadn't had any luck reaching either of them.
"Damn it!" Hoseok cursed again, turning and storming from the apartment.
"Where are you going?" Namjoon asked, and Hoseok could hear him following. "I know you're frustrated, but--"
"Why did you let Jin go off alone?" Hoseok snapped, rounding on the human. "If you knew about the hunter, why didn't you stay with him? Aren't you supposed to be the one making sure the hunter doesn't get anywhere near him?"
"I know," he sighed. "I made what I thought was the best decision in the moment. Jackson was supposed to be here."
"If your chief is the mole, wouldn't he have known about this place? What if he told the hunter about it before Jackson could meet up with Jin? If so, he probably got rid of that detective and already has Hyung."
