Thank you for being patient with me, everyone! I am getting ready to wrap up the semester at the school where I teach, so things are a bit hectic (as always, lol). BUT! I'm going to work on a regular updating schedule for this fic and my other Namjin/JiHope fic! My goal is to update every two weeks.
Anyways, happy reading! ^_^/

Jin had been silent the entire ride to the new safe-house. Namjoon didn't attempt to speak to him, either, probably equally mad at him. He couldn't believe how stupid he was, letting Namjoon take his phone like that. He had been waiting two weeks for that hunter to show up, and now that clock had reset.
He was nearly ready to just go stand in the middle of the street and call for him. At least then he'd be killed or able to capture the hunter.
Either way, he'd get away from Kim Namjoon.
He glanced over at the officer, who looked quite large sitting in the small armchair that was one of the only pieces of furniture in the tiny studio apartment they were currently holed up in. Namjoon had been on the phone since they had gotten to the apartment an hour before, talking to his chief about the burner phone and the suspected leak. He looked exhausted when he finally hung up, letting the phone drop to the floor and leaning his head back.
"We should have just stayed in the other apartment."
"Go to bed," Namjoon grumbled at him.
"You're the one who looks like they need to go to bed," he shot back at him. "How are we supposed to sleep, anyways? This place only has a bed and that armchair."
"I can sleep in the floor," Namjoon sighed.
Deciding not to argue with him, Jin grabbed his clothes and went to the bathroom to take a shower while Namjoon made more phone calls.
By the time he was finished and returned to the room, he found the officer asleep in the chair, his long legs stretched out in front of him as he leaned as far back as he could, his head not even reaching the back of the chair.
"Namjoon-ah, that's doesn't look comfortable," he said to the man. When he didn't wake up, Jin sighed, gingerly lifting him out of the chair and laying him in the bed.
"That was a mistake, Jin," he scolded himself, taking several steps away from the bed as soon as he was no longer touching Namjoon. His skin felt like it was burning where he'd held him, and now his clothes smelled like him.
Since suspecting that he'd bonded with the officer, he'd been avoiding him—able to completely avoid touching him.
Hoseok had told him he was being paranoid, thinking he'd bonded with him, since it could only happen by drinking the human's blood. He hadn't told his friend about licking Namjoon's blood off his finger after changing his bandages that first day.
Why did it take two weeks to affect me? Shouldn't I have felt something sooner than this?
He had spent the three days he was locked in the bedroom doing research on the subject, but he hadn't been able to come up with much. The internet was useless. Unless he was able to speak with another vampire about it, he didn't expect to find out much. He'd always thought of the entire bonding thing as a myth, anyways, since he had never heard of it happening.
"I'm sure Yoongi would know where I could get information," he mumbled to himself, busying himself by exploring the apartment. He couldn't ask Yoongi about it, though. The younger man really would beat him senseless if he found out Jin thought he'd bonded with the officer.
