Let's Get Ugly! [The Wanted Fanfic]

Part 50- Let's Get Ugly.

Nathan's POV-

Today, we are finally bringing Oscar home from the hospital at last, he has been in hospital for 4 days. Me and Amy have been getting taught about the basics of dealing with diabetes, it has been a bit of a struggle as there is lots to take in and learn about, but we shall get there soon. Amy hasn't left Oscars side, I kept telling her to go home and get some rest whilst I stayed at the hospital with Oscar, but she wasn't having any of it. I don't think Oscar understands that he has an illness, I think he knows that there is something wrong but not too sure what it is, but apart from that he has been his normal self, which is great to see.

Tom and Claire have been looking after Lucy and Ollie whilst we have been with Oscar. Amy has explained to Lucy about what is happening but I think she is too young to really understand what is wrong with Oscar, so is Ollie. All of the lads have been in to see how our little man is doing. The fans don't know that Oscar has been in hospital, I don't think they really need to know at the moment, I shall tell them soon, when it's time.

3 weeks later...

My POV-

It has been three weeks since Oscar was released from hospital, things have been pretty tricky but Oscar has been such a brave little boy, he has been coping with the injections so well especially for a 2 and a half year old. With what has been happening to Oscar, it has brought me and Nathan even closer, which feels good, Nathan has been amazing.

Nathan has gone for some interviews with the lads for some magazines so he won't be home til later. Jade, Sophie and Emma are coming round for some lunch whilst the kids were at school and playschool. Claire was busy at work so she was unable to come round, it has been a while since we have been able to have a girly day together, they were coming round at 12:30pm, it is now 12pm. The sun was shining outside so I thought that it would be nice if we sat outside in the garden to eat our lunch. I just made some sandwiches and a salad as I didn't know what else to do. Just as I had finished getting everything ready, the doorbell, I went to go and answer it, I opened the door and found the girls standing there. They came in and I put the kettle on to make a cup of tea for Jade as she obviously can't drink alcohol, the rest of us are having some wine. I made the tea and I went and joined them outside in the garden.

Sophie's POV-

That night where Max proposed, we decided to keep the engagement quiet as thought that it wasn't the best time as Oscar was in hospital. I was sat in the garden with the girls when Amy said,

'Sophie, is there something that you're not telling us?' she smiled.

'What do you mean?' I questioned, I could feel myself going red. Amy then pointed to the ring on my finger.

'I think you what I am on about,' Amy laughed.

'Okay, Max proposed to me, a few days ago,' I revealed.

'Why didn't you tell us?' Emma asked excitedly.

'We didn't think that it was the right time with Oscar being ill and everything,' I replied. I then felt Jade giving me a hug,

'I'm so happy for you,' Amy exclaimed.

'Thank you Ams,' I said. We all then got talking about weddings and Oscar.

'So, how is the little man?' Jade questioned after taking a sip of her tea.

'He is doing surprisingly well, me and Nath are so proud of him,' Amy responded with a smile.

'How are you and Nath coping, it must be difficult?' Emma asked.

'We are slowly getting there at last, I think it's going to take a while for it to all settle down and get used to it, but we will get there eventually.' Amy replied.
