Everyone has a dream. There are those who want to be paragons in their chosen fields. Then there are those who just want to be involved in serving society to help build their local communities. There are also those who want to be successful leaders respected by all.

Regardless of whether the dream is big or small, a dream is still a dream; the challenges are the same. We all need to make an effort to attain the dream buried deep within our souls, because it cannot be realised without determination.

It is the same with me. Since I was five, I was sure of my dream. It was all due to my mother presenting me with a paintbrush on my birthday. The paintbrush gave me the power to paint emotions and thoughts on canvas, and revitalize my mind, body and soul. Ever since that day, I knew what my dream was and I held tightly to it. I promised myself that no matter what, I would never let go of that dream. I was determined to pursue it to the ends of this earth.

My name is Syaiddah Mahmood, better known as Aida. Now, my dream has been realised. I am an artist.
