"You're late tonight. There must have been so many looking to escape the weather because tonight is really cold," my husband was quick to remark as I opened the front door. He understood my situation very well. It was not the first time that I had reached home late on a cold night.
"Dear, I was very happy today," I confided in him. I hung my coat behind the door before I plonked myself down on the sofa. My husband sat down beside me. I held his hand tightly and kissed him.
"Eunice has reconciled with her father," I told him. He smiled and caressed my hair. There is much joy when a family is reunited. Such as with my family. Although the children have grown up and have their own families, they still come home every weekend to spend time with us. I wish that all families could experience this joy.
