Panic immediately set in, almost as if I was at the disco. Rushing down the stairs and to the door, I looked outside and saw nothing. Dan wasn't there. Racing back inside the house, I checked the kitchen and even knocked on the bathroom door by the entrance. There was nothing. I checked the backyard, hoping he just went out for some fresh air. He wasn't there either. Making my way back upstairs, I checked Phil's room. No one.

"Two more floors. He has to be around here somewhere," I mumbled to myself, racing up more flights of stairs. I checked my room, Dan's room, the bathroom. I was losing hope that was already barely there. "Gaming room. God, please, please be in the gaming room."

But there was no one.

I scrambled to grab my phone that was still hiding in my pocket, pulling it out and calling Phil. He picked up after a few rings.

"(y/n)! I was about to call you! What brand of ice cream do you wa-"

"Dan's done," I interrupted, gasping for breath as the panic and searching were taking my breath away. The panic in my voice was very evident.

"What do you mean 'Dan's gone'?!" Phil practically shouted into the phone.

"Please, just come home!" I cried. Phil hung up immediately, most likely to quickly check out and come home as I had requested. I went back into the living room and curled up on the sofa, my panic soon becoming a full-blown panic attack.

What happened to him?

Is he okay?

OH MY GOD IS HE DEAD?!

Before I could even comprehend my thoughts, Phil burst into the lounge, breathing heavily. I turned to him, tears streaming down my face. "He's really gone?" He gasped, trying to catch air. I nodded, barely being able to speak. Phil paced over and hugged me, rubbing my back as I tried to calm down from the panic racing through my veins. I finally took one last deep breath before I felt somewhat calmed down. "What happened?" Phil questioned, noticing that I was calm again.

"We decided to play some Mario Party while you were gone and while we were playing, someone knocked on the door. Dan went to go answer while I stayed up here. He wasn't back after a bit so I went to go check and he... he was gone. I searched all over the house, I looked outside, I looked in the bathrooms for god's sake! He's just... gone," I explained, fear boiling up. Phil wasn't able to respond before my phone dinged with a notification.
