I felt completely numb when I walked through the door later that afternoon. Before I could really process anything, Phil came rushing down the stairs and engulfed me in a hug, giving me enough shock to come back down to reality. Grabbing my cheeks, Phil looked all over my face before noticing the red mark on my right cheek.

"What did he do to you?" He questioned, examining the mark some more.

"He got a little mad, that's all. I'm fine. It's just a small slap mark, it'll be gone within the hour," I said, avoiding eye contact. Phil paused for a moment before continuing.

"Did he say anything else?" He asked.

"When I got there, he instantly began to apologize for his actions and asked if I would take him back. I told him no, that I didn't trust him, and that the only reason I agree to meet with him was to bring Dan back home. He asked me if I loved him and... I hesitated with my answer. I got flustered. He got mad and started yelling, spewing crap like 'what's wrong with you, why such a lowlife' and stuff like that. I told him that Dan was a lot better than him and... He slapped me. He tried apologizing again but I stopped him. I asked for Dan's location, said I would do anything to bring him home," I stopped, looking down at the floor as I held back the fear that was forming into tears in my eyes. Phil gave me a concerned look as he absorbed all of the information given to him.

"And?" He prodded. I took a deep breathe, gathering my thoughts.

"Isaac wants me to stay with him at his flat," I finished. Phil opened his mouth to protest, but I got there before he could even start. "I know, you don't want me to do it. I don't know what this whole thing entails, but Phil... I'll do anything to bring Dan back home," I said.

"(y/n), you can't be serious. We need to report him to the police, get him arrested. You can't go with him-"

"Phil! If we talk to the police he will know. He'll hurt Dan and I know that's the last thing either of us wants right now," I protested. Phil looked down before letting out a sigh.

"Fine. Just," Phil looked up and hugged me once more before continuing. "Please don't get hurt. Please stay safe. I can't lose you." I could hear the sadness in his voice. Hugging him back, I squeezed him as tight as I could, trying to engrave his hug into my mind if I wouldn't be able to see him in a while. After a few long moments, Phil let go of me. I reached into my back pocket and took my phone out. Opening my messages, I sent Isaac my response.

I'll do it.
