Mio wakes up, her head still on her desk as she fell asleep studying. She sits up wiping the sleep from her eyes and stretching. Knock, knock, knock. The brunette gave a welcoming smile to her little brother who had already been up for hours. "Aunty Fuyumi made us breakfast already, I'm going to school now but you can have this." Shou reached into his school bag and gave her a ham and cheese sandwich that was part of his lunch. Mio's heart almost exploded from the adorableness of her baby brother. "Thank you Shou, are you sure you would get hungry?" Shou shook his head in response showing his sister that he had a small box of fruit. Natsuo called from down stairs that it was time to go so the siblings gave each other a quick hug before the freckled boy ran down stairs.
Her wrist made a small crack sound in her newly healed hand while she was stretching waiting from her grandfather. Mio has had a week off school and most of her wounds from her fight with Hera were almost gone, however it would be safer if the villains didn't know where she was and the headmaster felt upset for the girl after her mother died so he gave her a mental health leave to grieve properly. The door opened slowly was the tall bearded man walked in with a large case. "I have something for you" he said placing the case in front of the heterochromic girl. She opened it slowly but her eyes widened in surprise as she saw in full view what it was.
A long silver staff, with tiny details twisting around it like bands, every second band pattern was made out wavy almost water like shapes and the bands in between had a more triangular look, all laying on a thin, red, velvet cloth.
"What is this?" Mio asked. "Your quirk can get out of control easily. I had this made for you to help target your quirk instead of it going out in all directions." She smiled at him and standing up to start practicing with the almost mythical looking weapon. As her quirk activated the wavy patterns started to glow a light blue, she swag it to the floor but all it managed to do was coat the whole floor with a thin layer of ice. Endeavour sighed and told her to do it again.
Hours went by but the same result every time. As it was frustrating to both parties, they decided to take a break. Mio walked down the stairs to get a drink of water but stopped when she heard sobbing and an unfamiliar voice coming from the living room. She stuck her head around the corner to see who was there. "I still can't believe it, I haven't seen you since the day you were born." Fuyumi cried happily "Yeah, my dads wanted to raise me in secret. I never met other family members." The stranger replied. "Well I'm happy you're here Touya" The Bi haired woman pulled the scarred teen into a tight embrace. After they let go Shou who just got back from school, tugged on Touya's jumper to get his attention "so are we cousins?" "I guess we are, Shou". Mio reviled herself from behind the wall to asked questions. "Mio!?" Touya shouted not giving Mio a chance to speak. He pulled out the photo he stole of her and her friends from Hiro's room the other day. "I know your friends!"
Despite Touya naming all the members of the Jr Heroes Club and telling her that they had asked him to cheek on her because they were worried, Mio grabbed Shou and hugged him protectively. Mio used to be trusting but due to recent events she has become more and more paranoid. "Midoriya is worried about you, I can leave UA whenever I want. He wants me to check on you, he misses you." Touya reassured seeing his Cousins discomfort. "Shou, go to your room wait for me there." She said sending him up stairs as the older teens sat on the lounge. Even after an hour of Touya trying to convince Mio that he wasn't a villain but she was still wary.
Shou sat in his room reading his book when Endeavour walked in and asked the young boy to follow him. The two redheads entered the training room where Mio was training earlier that day. "What did you want to talk about grandpa?" "Shou, it's nothing personal but your sister is holding back. I need to push her harder."
"So if your my Cousin, where have you been all my life?" Mio asked finally believing he was a relative, still wary about him though. Before he could answer Mio's question a loud yelp followed by a crash coming from upstairs. "Shou...?" The two heroes in training jumped up and ran the creaky wooden stairs. Touya flug the door open and Mio barged past to see what happened. Endeavour was standing over his youngest grandchild, his first full on fire. Shou was crying on the floor with a large bruise and a small burn on his left cheek. The rage Mio had kept inside for weeks finally boiled over and all she could see was red. Touya ran over and grabbed Shou taking him out of the room as Mio walked over to her new staff, picking it and illuminating the carvings blue. Realising his mistakes Endeavour activated his quirk but it was too late, Mio slammed the staff on the ground but instead of freezing the ground she send a small glacier speeding towards the elder man and winding him as he hit the wall. Fuyumi and Natsuo ran up to see what happened. "Mio, come!" Touya yelled still carrying the crying boy as he opend the window getting ready to jump. "Dad!? Mio!?" Fuyumi looked the small still shaky from the anger. "Please don't hate me" Mio whispered as she followed the boys out the window. She was scared her Arunty and Uncle would scold her, kick her out or hurt her when they found there father. That wasn't the though, they knew there fathers violence and manipulative nature more then anyone and would understand. But one again Mio's paranoia took over.
Touya took out his water bottle to put water on the small burn that gave Shou's pale cheek a orangey hue. "Shou!" Mio cought up to them and hugged her brother tight. She silently mouthed a thank you to Touya as she covered Shou's burn and bruise with a thin layer of ice. "So where now?" She asked picking up the small boy. "UA, you both will be safe there" "Why not my father's place?" "You haven't heard? Haven't you seen the news? He killed him self last night."
"What?"
