Kara's POVI woke up the next morning with Lena laid in my arms. I slowly untangled my limbs from hers and covered her with a blanket while I went to get coffee from the kitchen. I noticed a note attached to my door that hadn't been there when Lena and I had fallen asleep last night.
This. This is just the beginning. Things are about to get so much worse for you, your friends and your family. Mark my words, your going to wish you died when your planet exploded!
I stood staring at the note I front of me, not noticing the pair of emerald green eyes staring at me puzzled from the sofa."Kara?" Lenas voice knocked me from my thoughts.
"You okay love?" I heard her move but I was still stuck in place. She carefully slipped the note out of my hand and read it.
"Kara oh my god!"
"Let's get away. Our plane for Disney Leaves tonight anyway. We will just get to the airport a few hours early. Let's pack and then I will give you your hand luggage I've had it prepped for a while." She giggled before running to the bedroom.
"I have a gift for you too!" She called. She ran back out, a smile plastered on her face and her hand behind your back.
"Close your eyes and hold out your hand." I did as she said and soon felt a small velvet box in my hand.
"Open your eyes." I did and opened the small black box. Inside was a small bracelet with a purple gem moulded into the top.
"Lena?"
"It's a purple kryptonite bracelet, it takes away your powers and returns them to you the minute you take it off."
"Lena, I love it!" I felt tears rising as I wrapped my arms around her tightly.
"No ones ever done something like this for me before."
We headed to the bedroom and packed both suitcases. I wore the bracelet the whole time and it was the best thing ever. I could hold Lena close without the fear of hurting her, I could do normal things without worrying about accidentally showing my Powers. Lena's Driver pulled up outside the airport. Once I was out the car I walked around to her side, opened the door and held my hand out to her.
"My lady."
She giggled and took my hand, gracefully getting out the car. We grabbed our suitcases from the back and walked in, hand luggage on our shoulders and our hands locked together. Lena got really anxious when it came time to the desk so I did all the talking when it came to getting our boarding passes and getting our luggage on the plane.
We walked through security and stood surrounded by shops and restaurants.
"We still have another 2 hours before we can board the plane so let's go get food."
Her face lit up.
"Please can we get a Nando's for lunch? I've always wanted to try one."
(Question: do you guys have Nando's in America. I was there the other week but never saw one so idk?)
"Same."
I grabbed her hand excitedly and dragged her towards the restaurant. We sat down and waited for the food to arrive. I lent over and grabbed both of her hands. She looked at me with a confused expression. I placed them in the middle of the table and interlocked my fingers with hers.
"I just wanted to hold your hand."
"You're adorable. Can I know why I can't see inside my luggage now?
"Fine. You can Open your hand luggage." She opened her bag and pulled out a letter I had a placed on top. She opened it and I saw her eyes widen. She dropped the letter on the table and just stared at me, mouth agape.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Oh my god! I love you so much!"
The letter was adoption appears for a puppy Lena had wanted since she was a kid. We would be picking it up the day we got home.
We ate dinner talking about everything and anything. I stood up and we walked down to our gate ready to board the plane. We were sat on the ledge by the window. I was laid in between her legs and her arms were wrapped around the bottom of my torso. A voice knocked me from my thoughts and made Lena tense suddenly.
"Lena Luthor? Kara Danvers?"
