Chapter 24

* Aspyn's POV * 

The sound of my alarm goes off and I smack my phone to hit snooze that is on the nightstand next to me. I doze off back to sleep. A couple of minutes later, my phone goes off again and it was time to get up. I set up an alarm so that I wouldn't sleep in all day and miss our date. I turn to face my ceiling fan and laid there. 

Tonight is it. This is our first date night, 6-23-19. I put a little note of the date on my notes app. I just want to make sure that if we do end up celebrating our first anniversary, I want the date to be correct. 

I am literally praying to that God that this goes well and he's boyfriend/husband material. If this relationship doesn't work out, then there's no point to be dating after. I would be a little old to be having kids to my liking. It's possible that I could just get married but I don't know. 

My body does not feel like getting up so I let myself stay in bed. I make a list of the things I need to do and the plans that I have for this week. 

- Call Island Records and set up an appointment

- Call Cassie about the official merch release date

- Disneyland with Matt and Zane

- Write lyrics

- Make the " Answering All of Your Questions " video

- Edit and post 

- Do laundry 

I probably have more things to do but that's all that came into my mind right now. It's about to be 11 so I pull up my facetime app and called Natalie. I wanted everything to be ready and figured out before it is actually time. I don't want to be stressing out and rushing so I am preparing ahead of time. 

" HEYYY TODAY IS THE DAYYYY " she taps her fingers together. 

" I know, I don't want to be in a mood because of me rushing so I'm figuring out everything I need to do and what I'm gonna be wearing early. 

" Cool, so how do you want your outfit to make you feel? "

" Definitely something comfortable. Don't know what we're doing so it has to be something that I can move around in. " 

" Okay, so casual, cute, and comfortable? Correct? " she pressed her hands to her cheek and I nod that she's right "

" Take me to your closet so I know what the options are, " she demands me and I groan as I leave my comfortable position and my cozy bed. I pull the sheets off of me and walk to my closet and opened the door. 

" I know some of the things that are inside your closet already so I'm trying to think what you could wear based off my memory " she taps her fingers to her chin. " Do you want jeans, shorts, or a skirt? "

" Um, maybe a skirt or shorts because it's supposed to feel a bit hot. But it's gonna be at night so hopefully, it'll cool down. " I look around in my closet " I could bring a jacket or just wear a  light sweater with a cute skirt. " 

" Well, LA nights aren't that cold. I think you will be good. And if you are chilly, then it would be a great opportunity for Jeff to give you his jackets. Okay, holddddd up " she holds up her pointing finger. 

" OH! I know just the thing. So pull out that light beige ruffled shirt that's hanging up and the overall dress. Wear the shirt underneath and it'll be really cute together. The dress will help elongate your legs. I think that the outfit is comfortable and it's a cute outfit for a first date.  You can wear the brown sandals to go with it. " she nods and crosses her arms in pride. 

" I'm gonna try it on " I put the shirt on first and buttoned up the dress. I did what she told me about the shirt. I face the phone towards my whole body so she can see a whole view. 

" Perfect! Yay! I'm so excited for you to go and test the waters " Natalie shakes her hands excitedly

" You're a life saver. Thank you! "

" Call me after and tell me how it goes. If it goes bad, text me and just tell him that it's a family emergency and you need to call them. Use that as your code. I'll pick you up and we'll have ice cream at home " 

I chuckle at her caring self, " I will. Thanks again, byeeeee "

" Byeee " she waves at the camera then hangs up.

 I iron my clothes so it's straightened out. I lay it on my bed for later and put the shoes by the door.  

It's about brunch time so I go to the kitchen and make myself two avocado toasts and a smoothie for my lunch. I take the food into my living room and caught up with Grey's Anatomy. I'm gonna use this time to just pamper myself a little bit. 

... 

When I finished my lunch, I wanted to write some lyrics down. I lower the TV volume so that I can concentrate better. I grab my notebook and pen then proceeded to write. I had verse one and the pre-chorus down. I just needed to see what could be my chorus, verse two, and the bridge. I had this one saying in mind,

It was simple and pretty much straight forward. I also wrote down half of verse two,

Got these thoughts in my head
Ain't no way to forget
Got me losing my breath

After I wrote those lyrics, I got stuck so I decided that it was enough for today. I went to grab a blanket from the basket next to my tv. I wanted to just lay down and watch tv. I do this almost every day because I don't have anything else to do. My day is not always jammed pack so I get to have time for myself. 

I lay down to take a nap to feel more energized for later. I set my alarm to wake me up around 5:45. It was already about 2 o'clock. Time passes by so quickly when you don't want it to. I turned the volume back up a little bit for some noise to help me fall asleep. As the minutes in the episodes passed by, my eyes became droopy and slowly started to close for sleep. 

-- IMPORTANT! I made a decision to not post during the weekends so that I'm not constantly uploading every day because it can be tiring. There might be times where I will upload a chapter on either Saturday or Sunday (maybe even both) as a surprise because I felt like writing. 

 I will not be posting on Sunday, but here is the chapter for this weekend!
